Hey all. I am need of some help. I apologize if this isn’t the proper thread, but every time I start the game it goes to the account picker screen and says the servers are down. It won’t load into the main menu. Any ideas on what I might try? I’ve restarted the game, console, and my router several times to no avail. Xbox series x. This has been this way off and on for about two weeks. Thx in advance.

On PC I had a problem a few times that was fixed turning off router for 10-20 minutes (I fully unplugged it ( power ) from the wall though, except the other cable obviously) and whatever issue was it worked again. To me it's the most obvious solution but for xbox series x don't know if is the same.

 

There's this section in link for help, make a topic there, perhaps someone there who follows that section can help you out some time if not here.

Just wondering... has any Rockstar Games staff employee completed "Down Chiliad" under par within three tries or hell even in less than 20 tries? Definitely deserving of a B&M I think which I'll do somewhat later, but I don't seem to recall falling off bikes so easily "back in the day". 
Is that something that perhaps has been adjusted over time (the likelihood % of falling off after collision, or particularly after an imperfect landing) or has it always been a constant, with the only ever change enforced during Stunt Races?

I've only done it once in a bike

payphone hits had me going real good this week (back above when I dropped money on the issi and stuff, and highest it's ever been)

 

tried the draugur, but not even close

 

apparently the same front biased grip that makes it great on trails and the road makes it a bit spinny over that particular path when hitting bits of sticky out terrain (not that I can blame it tho, it is very big)

Some believe we still have a car or two to go before then, which means it could be closer to March or in March, but if that's the case it fully depends on how they handle dripfeed. If we start getting cars every week again it could be sooner, unless they just release whatever vehicle is related to the Last Dose earlier. We've definitely been further from it lmao

Meh, I really don't have any need of doing any good paying jobs right now as I don't have anything new to spend money on.

 

Maybe if there was some kind of new property where I could store a bunch of cars i would have, if storage wasn't an issue....But oh well.

Noticed some similar posts about this on reddit. Maybe there is something going on.

 

If you tried restarting router, shutdown and unplug the console for a minute, clear cache, then try changing your connection settings: set dns to cloudflare(1.1.1.1) and google(8.8.8.8) in xbox network settings. At least try it.

 

You can also troubleshoot by making a hotspot wifi from your phone and connect to it instead of your router. If the problem is gone, then maybe it's something with your router/main internet provider.

That time trial was created by sadist or someone who never tried it and wasn't aware of game mechanics. Should be either scrapped or somehow redesigned.

I bookmarked peak performance race so every time i fall and bike is launched down the mountain i enter and quit that race while in the menu, it spawns you at the top of the chilliad with your personal vehicle and near time trial itself. That'a the only upside, otherwise i wouldn't even bother, even then it took me dozen tries.

Powersurge bike is good with this one because it reduce the chance of falling off it compared to some other bikes but it's heavy so it's harder to steer it like some dirt bike. 

Even though i always say it's my last time doing this time trial, unless they release some very good off road bike/vehicle in the future with perfect handling and speed, it probably will be my last time playing it.

those air shocks seem to null out a lot more imperfections in the road than even soft springs can

 

draugur is good, but doesn't have the suspension to sort out the bumps on chiliad, leading to the back end getting thrown out (it's fine normal offroad, but god, chiliad likes to make ya dance)

 

or perhaps a bike (or quad) with airride shocks and epic travel?

 

they seem to resist being turned around because most bikes have a heavy rear traction bias

Or...since they are release and taking away vehicle now, they just don't care about "order". There's the chance that the Virtue can come with the last dose missions and not be in the website, i think it's possible, we will just get that car earlier if we do the missions.

Since the Virtue is story-related as far as I read in the spoilers, we can expect the Virtue to release together with the rest of the story missions? With a new car every two weeks (at best), this would in about 5 weeks, which would be late March?

You know R* sees these Last Dose missions as 'Part 2'. Perhaps they will release the Virtue alongside the other two, and bring back the limited time cars as a package together? Make it seem more like a 'Part 2' with new clothing sets etc

Sony is killing it in terms of PS5 sales. January sales tripled than the year before. Both in US and European markets.

Seems like a perfect time to drop old gen and give PC the E&E treatment, but to be fair Will suck if they drop last gen just giving the second dose missions and the rest of dripfeed, a mini dlc would be Nice but with all the resources in GTA 6 that seems unlikely. 

I really wonder if they finally drop last gen, Will they deliver a banger dlc for GTA online? With limitations behind and 10th anniversary of GTA Online coming this year...

What I do wonder is if we’ll see release of massive updates once again if they shift their focus on new gen hardware and PC only? I know their main focus is on next gta title at the moment but what if they had something big cooking up all this time

Won't be surprised if Last Gen is one of the reasons GTA Online started to receive such content updates as Criminal Enterprises and Drug Wars (along with GTA 6 staff resources for sure).

The thing is they can very well mess around with the drip feed schedule all they want, we could be getting cars every week now for a few weeks, or wait more, we just can't accurately predict it.

Yeah, the most voted platform (where do you own GTAV/O now) on a poll I made here on the forum, excluding PC, was also the PS5. Same phenomenon on other polls I saw online, like it or not the current-gen version has been doing pretty well as more people get PS5's and so on.

May I suggest the Pegassi Ruffian? Can be stolen off the street and is suitably fast and grippy/loose enough to handle the turns going downhill. But may still throw you off if landed too hard.

 

Also, I suggest visiting the Cayo beach party with full load of Pißwasser before attempting the deed.

 

Once in Cayo, set the player quick action to 'Drink Pißwasser', then go stand next to the Winky that takes you back to LS so that you can se the promt to leave on the left uppercorner.

 

Now use to quick action to drink the beer until you blackout. At the moment you collapse, hit left on the D-pad to exit the party.

 

From now on, the ragdoll should be deactivated, so if you fall off of the bike on Chiliad, you don't lose time picking yourself up from the fall. Helps with the Peak Performance reset.

I still think Los Santos Drug Wars is the last update for PS4/Xbox One. Both updates last year felt like they were moderate sized for the sake of still supporting last gen and both their drip feeds were horrific too.

 

The Contract felt like a proper send off for Gen 8 and everything beyond that just felt like Rockstar were buying time for when they could release updates exclusively for the newest generation of hardware.

 

I think now is an ideal time to drop support for last gen, especially with this update being marketed as a two part update (the first one in ages) and VI not being too far off. Two massive updates this year for Gen 9 (and hopefully PC) and then it's full steam ahead for GTA and GTAO next

Then if they go back to a vehicle every two weeks we could see Last Dose coming March 16 along with the Virtue (and maybe the last two drip fed cars too)

 

Kinda works out since March 16 is when GTA+ refreshes again (month after Feb 16) so we could obviously see Last Dose themed benefits for + members.
