Because they haven't tweeted about the new event yet. They'll unpin the heist challenge when they tweet about today's event.

The event before last December's update was already a ~ two week event, they didn't need to extend anything.

This is why I remain a bit skeptical.

 

I'm curious as to why they aren't keeping this event going right into the next update release, they did so in both 2020 and 2021 but this is the first time R* deviated from that since December 2019.

 

This event actually seems pretty themed in regards to maybe what we could see in this winter's update but then again, there's still one more event to go, watch that be random as hell

I know! Prop changes are my most favorite way to get the first taste about a DLC. Washed up skeletons on the beach for Cayo, Renovation props for After Hours + Casino etc.

There's a Newswire option in the GTAO pause menu since launch now, I kinda wish they'd use that in a dynamic way, like showing short summaries of Newswire posts in-game, and even notify you of them if you're playing when it drops.

If you wished to read the full thing then you could press like X/Enter/etc or something to open the browser and read it all.

Everything is pointing to a smaller than usual Dec DLC, to me at least. Maybe it’s because 8th gen really can’t handle much more so it will be rather light all around (new gameplay, cars list, no new property). I’m setting my expectations lower than usual due to the goofy Juggalo stuff. Best case this interpretation is way off and we get something really big and cool, mid case would be this goofy Juggalo stuff is a VIP agency Contract involving Michael somehow.

Act 5 finale is an all out battle with mech suits.

I've came up with two DLC ideas that would both work excellently for the game right now.

Evolving Enterprise, a follow-up to the Criminal Enterprise with a challenge mode for the OG heists, a customisation overhaul, and reworks to the businesses Rockstar left out of Criminal Enterprise.

The Network, a DLC expansion themed around buying out and running your own social media empire with a whole lot of new content and mission types to try out, and the most optimisable business to date.

Yes some props would easily bring everyone in the DLC mood and hype up the speculation.

 

The fact that we see no props, is for me… not a good sign.

There's no reason to hate shark cards tbh. There's 0 content locked behind paywalls in this game. If anything, Shark Cards are the most friendly microtransactions I've ever seen in a game. 

Says a lot when you got subscription based mmos that have a cashshop. Most B2P multiplayer games (like GTAO) wouldn't dream of giving away content for free, and yet in this game we get content patches twice a year. Seems like a pretty nice deal to me.

The red shark card is exactly worth one Pfister Comet. But then you still have to pay another 284K or was it 184K im not sure atm, to fully upgrade it lol.

I know lol to chrome up 4 cars is 100k but I did get 2 back when - to get the apartment early didn't mean you get the t20 etc with it just stated back then was alot cheaper then it is now lol
