Making money with no time pressure or much action?

Hello everyone,

I started a new game to play it on some days in the half hour before I go to sleep (have not much time at the moment and I find it relaxing to cruise around in Los Santos).

Finding the action figures, robbing stores or stealing cars from Simeons list are the things, I do then.

But this way, I don't get much money (apart from the 100.000 dollar from Amazon prime and the money, I get from the lucky wheel from time to time) to buy me one of these newer cars.

Can you suggest me some ways to get money which meet the following criteria:
- a mission / task is not longer than around 10 minutes
- I don't need any special / expensive weapons/houses/cars for it
- it isn't challenging at all / nearly impossible to loose (as said: I want to relax)

Is there anything which comes to your mind?
Thanks a alot :)

The kind of stuff like this that come to mind require a decent paywall to get (nightclub for example or if you do 500 agency contracts.)

I started on Xbox Series X, so I got a night club at the start, but never made much with it. What would you recommend to do with it?

for starters by boosting your nightclub popularity to max you can get a nice 50k per in-game day (48 minutes irl) in your safe for doing absolutely nothing (well, one easy, short mission every now and then to keep the popularity at max)
then you basically want to start getting properties for your nightclub so you can assign technicians to them and idle them too, and do a sell mission every now and then - there's guides for this that will explain it a lot better than i ever could lol

you should also definitely get all treasure hunt-like things like the revolver, the tomahawk, etc, they give you a nice chunk of cash in total

and if you don't mind a paywall (2,2 mil) and a bit of a learning curve at first, you want to get a submarine and do the cayo perico heist - i know that sounds like something that is difficult, but thankfully thanks to R* logic it is the easiest and shortest heist in the game. at first it will take you like an hour or two to do it total but you can while playing very casually do it (with all preps, i mean, the finale is easily doable in 10 minutes) in 40 min to an hour so assuming 30 min per day is a hard limit you could get a nice 1-1,5 million or so every other day, while checking up on the nightclub stuff when you have some free time, giving you passive revenue that you just collect every once in a while

Try to get the personnel upgrade to keep the Club's popularity steady ASAP, cosmetic and security upgrades won't add to popularity. Do the first DJ's mission if you already didn't.

The Club with full popularity makes good money nowadays so set your spawn point there to do a daily management mission inside (bouncing troublemakers and delivering drunk clients) and empty the vault.

Save for buying the Kosatka and Sparrow, do at least a weekly Cayo and upgrade to the cheapest biker club and it's cheapest business locations to just unlock the product warehouse below the Club to get some passive money with sales on Invite Only.

If you're short on time look for an experienced player looking for aid on a Cayo to skip the solo cooldown. Even at a 15% cut is very good money, and it will took like 15 min if your partner knows what to do.

The payphone hits have got to be the easiest, quickest money. Perfect for lazy bastards like you and me.

Well so pretty much everything that is easy and short has a paywall.

For Payphone Assassinations and Security Contracts you need the Agency.

For delivering mixed goods, you need a CEO warehouse and Office.

For delivering surplus weapon parts and ammo, you need the Bunker.

For delivering customer bikes, you need the MC Clubhouse.

For delivering customer cars and doing Workshop Contracts (Mini Heists), you need the Workshop.

For sourcing and selling Import/Export cars, you need an Office and a Vehicle Warehouse.

For doing Cayo Perico Heist, you need the Kosatka (Submarine).

What can be done as a VIP (you need to have 50K in your bank) is Organization work like Headhunter, Sightseer, Haulage and Airfreight that work is short but only pays like 22K each.

You need to invest money to earn money.

Sightseer gives you $45.000 atm (if you are finishing the mission  with less than 5 minutes of  the timer).

Doing Sightseer with a motorcycle/helicopter is not so time consuming, and the cooldown period is only 10 minutes. easy money to gain in a invite only lobby.

Thank you both, I've finished the mission where I should collect Solomon on the airport today and I drove one drunk guest home. Now I'm 34.000 dollars richer, thats good :) I'll try to get the personell upgrade in the future.

Thank you for that list. The Sightseer sounds good, but also a bit stressful. I might look into that later.

Okay, thanks to you all I know a little better, what I can do.

Are there any more things to do which are like the lucky wheel, the action figures and Simeons car lists (like: no time limit, no shooting, just driving around and I can stop with it whenever I want)?
I understand, that this will not get me much money but still better than nothing and I like the relaxedness (is this a word?) of it :)

You can do the scavenger hunts. They're very easy and don't require any paywall.

This one you get $5000 per clue + $250,000 for completing 50 headshot with the revolver you find.

https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Treasure_Hunt

This is $10,000 per clue + $200,000 for completing 50 headshots with the revolver you find.

https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Los_Santos_Slasher

There's also Maude's bounty targets, $5000-10,000 per target + $250,000 after completion

Oh and the movie props scavenger hunt! You get $150,000 in total after completion.

https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Movie_Props

There's also the daily shipwrecks. There's 2 a day that give out $20,000 each. You can easily find GTAO accounts online that share the locations every day

oh yeah, also, if you like racing/driving games you can also do the time trials, specifically the standard and HSW time trial (since you can get 1 HSW car upgrade for free), the standard time trial is 100k per week and the HSW time trial is 250k per week - you can retry them as many times as you want but they can be annoying, so this is an option if you REALLY REALLY want some additional money

although as with everything you can find guides on youtube to make them easier

No, not very stressful, if you have a fast motorcycle so you can easily "zigzg between cars", and do the Sightseer within the 15 minute limit.

I always do them in Invite only and wait at the last of the three suitcases until the timer goes berlow 05:00 then grab the last suitcase.
$45.000 easy peasy.

The most braindead easy way I know to make money is to stockpile and sell the blue npc modified sandkings. I have a 6 car garage out Route 68 to store them, whenever I'm not feeling up to grind but still want to play that's when I stockpile them...you can sell one per game day for ~18k, shouldn't take but a minute once you've got them in the garage already.

If your character is brand spanking new, don't even think about buying cars. That's the number one way players go broke.

For starting out, do treasure hunts, Sightseer, Headhunter, and collecting nightclub vault money. Definitely get the nightclub staff upgrade since popularity will be your nightclub's source of income starting out. IMO, one of your first purchases should still be the Kosatka since Cayo Perico still has one of the best time/payout ratios even with the nerf. Once you're done with CP, you should have ~$1.5 million. One again, do not buy any unnecessary supercars. Instead, use that money to buy an MC clubhouse and a business so that your nightclub can start to produce during the CP cooldown.

Just like GiantsGiants said above, avoid fancy cars at the beginning.

To satisfy the itch to grow your collection, it's better if you find a racing Crew that trades race wins to unlock the prize cars from the Car Meet.

Now that you're grinding, get the Duke O Death. It's free, tough, armored and fast; also is 100% bulletproof from the back.

I think the best basic vehicle trio to grind is:

- An Imani car (missile jammer, armor plates and mines) Buffalo GTX is the cheapest option. You can add a free Sanchez and Bati 801 bikes as backup rides.

- The Kosatka's Sparrow with missiles and missile countermeasures

- The free Dinghy boat that comes with the Kosatka.

Haha, I wasn't even aware, that you can sell cars, you didn't buy - that is exactly the braindead / lazy way I want it to be :) Thank you for that idea!

Wait, you get more money for taking longer to do it?

I've been grabbing a copter and whipping them out in 6 or 7 minutes.

This is the case in all vip missions, the more time it takes, the more money you get, they all max out at 25K normally, or if it's doubled like now at 50K after 15 minutes but they have a time limit you would theoratically have to wait for the countdown to go to the last few seconds and then end it. I think something between 8-10 minutes was the best time to money ratio if i remember correctly.

It's the same in the OG contact missions. If you end the mission after 15 minutes or maybe it was 20 im not 100% sure anymore, you get the max payout.

Trash Talk is the most profitable OG contact mission in the game, i think it maxes out at 47,500 or something, but you need 5 other players for maximum profit. It's actually worth it if there is a double event for contact missions and if you have 5 friends that help doing it.

The higher the level requirement the higher the money you get for each played minutes. Trash Talk is the highest level contact mission, the requirement to play it, is level 81.

Rhinehart is supposed to be the last car in the dripfeed according to the leaks in the Next DLC thread. Plenty of time to accumulate money and get your nightclub up and running.

If I were starting from scratch and in your position, I would (watch a couple youtubes and then) quick join Cayo Perico Heists, just follow your hosts and grab gold only, that's 250-450k per run (more if your host is an epic legend like me) and 15 minutes or less usually.

And once you've done around 20 you can get your own Kosatka and then it's just money money money

If you join one where the host has no clue, leave.

Auto Shop contracts.

An Auto Shop is not expensive in the grand scheme of things, certain contract missions are easy and it's good money.

I played Cayo Perico in my old account on PS4 one time and found it extremely hard (failed so often, it was frustrating) and pretty time consuming. Maybe I'm just not a very good player ;)

For me, gtaonline is Forza Horizon with a more interesting/living world. I don't care for shooting or having businesses. I just want to drive around and want to buy a car from time to time ;)

Rockstar want you to buy shark cards then, but you have some assets you can sweat, nightclub and so forth

CEO work is pretty much where you should be if idling overnight isn't your thang

Like many things in GTA, you get a bigger payout if you take longer but you make more if you do it twice in the same amount of time.

The yellow trucks are good too, just sell for a little less. If OP does this, I'd recommend checking out a guide for the best spawn strategies. It's possible to make the trucks spawn 100% of the time at the RV lot. They only spawn during the day, so using a time locked contact mission like Chopper Tail helps.

I think the Agency is a great pickup for a new player. The free helicopter is nice for getting around the map. It practically pays for itself after completing the Dre VIP the first time with all of the first time completion bonuses. But that might be more stressful than what OP wants. Doing 201 security contracts to build up the passive income to $20k a day is nice. Just need to be halfway decent at shooting and learn to use cover and don't forget about the easy way to eat snacks for health now.

Gambling in the casino can be an easy stress free money maker... If you don't find gambling in general to be stressful. I made a ton by betting on the race horses. There is a method to the betting that actually puts the odds in your favor.

Yea most lucrative work is behind a “paywall”

last couple nights I’ve been making a good bit “lazy grinding”

payphone hit, headhunter, sell mixed goods, another headhunter, auto shop deliveries or night club promotion and then more pay phone hits. I call it lazy grinding because I’m not really rushing and just goofing around in between.

buy the kosatka….pays for itself quick and it’s pretty darn cool just to own a big submarine like that

I used to run Sightseer w the taxi, only ever completed it once that way...now that's lazy! I bet the Agency SUV Service could do it, that thing really gets up n goes.
