Any of you noticed this detail in Motomami station?

In one of the intermissions, you can hear Rosalia saying "...imagine yourself riding from Santa maria to Verona beach". These locations are not in GTA V, but they were in GTA San Andreas' Los Santos.

 

IDK if this was intentional or Rosalia haven't played GTA V yet.

I am sure that it was intentional. There is another instance where Kaydy Cain, who has a song in the station as well calls Rosalia and tells he in Eclipse Towers and Vanilla Unicorn I believe.

As for the locations being in San Andreas and not in V, well, I guess it's a little easter egg, while doing Lamar and Franklin missions, Frank mentions the incident that happened in Flint County back in the day.

Most likely this. Flint County isn't in GTA V either and Lamar and Franklin mention it. They're probably just nods to the trilogy locations, especially as the TDE had been released not long before The Contract.

If they go through with the expansions idea who knows in future  I would love to see SF coming back to the GTA series, especially after Watch Dogs 2 did it relatively well.

If they do the expansions I better see Las Venturas first before seeing anything else.

This. Sorry for the late reply. This topic got buried. I almost forgot about it.

 

I hope we'd get to see Sequoias at the state parks up north. I just miss the foggy atmosphere of 3D San Fierro.

 

Also, why didn't they just retain the names? Santa Maria sounds more similar to Santa Monica than Del Perro; Verona to Venice; Ganton to Compton, etc.

One of the intermissions from the 2020 WWFM update, the singer from Khruangbin says something along the lines of that the station is broadcasting from Liberty City, Vinewood and beyond
