T Vercetti
Is there any change to freeze the game clock that there is always night in Vice City? Or is it possible to slow down the game clock? Thanks for the answers!!

ptad1
I wish there was an easy way to choose what time of day you wanted to play (in Driver 2 you could choose to play at 'Day' or Night' ). There is a way you can do it, it's a bit complicated but it works. What you have to do is to edit the timecyc.dat file (using Notepad) in the Vice City/Data folder. By copying the numbers for midnight and pasting them into all the other hours of the day, it looks like night whatever hour is on the clock. You could also make another timecyc.dat file which does the opposite, ie. makes it always sunny, and just put either the 'sun' or 'night' version of the file into ViceCity's Data folder depending on which one you want to use at the time. This thread helped me figure this out : http://www.gtaforums.com/ib/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=17;t=28894

ptad1
Hi, I've put up my file so you can download it here: http://www.btinternet.com/~advanceone/vice/AllNight.zip Just unzip it and place the timecyc.dat file in your ViceCity/Data folder (should be something like "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\data") *BUT BEFORE YOU DO*, make a copy of the original timecyc.dat file in case you want to put it back. Hope this works OK for you Also, it was DiCanio's 24-7 Sun mod and the threads I've mentioned above which helped me make this.

Hey thanks a lot!..I`ll try it right now...reason why I want always night is that I take screenshots and want night shots..so it`s handy that night is around the clock.. And of course, always backups!
T Vercetti
Euhmm...I just tried it and it works but do you know is there possibility that hotels, nightclubs etc neonlights could be on?..now they`re off and it looks stupid..also every other lights too... [EDIT] If I don`t remember wrong, all city`s lights go on about at 8 pm..so where I could change that lights are on around the clock?do you know? Jordan
always night would be wierd
ptad1
always night would be wierd Well, I use two different timecyc files, one for 'always night' and one for 'always day', that way I can use whichever one I want depending on the time of day I'm playing the game. I find that the normal mode kills the atmosphere a bit when I'm playing the game at night, and the game turns sunny during certain clock hours. Same with playing the game on a sunny afternoon and the game turns to night while you're playing. It also changes really quickly because of the speeded-up clock which gets annoying, so I prefer to use this method so I can choose myself how I want to play the game. T Vercetti
Ok I found solution... Darknezz v1.1 +6 Trainer have "freezetime" feature..so at the night just freeze time and the night is so long until you unfreeze it..just tried it and it works! I have had that trainer long time but now I discovered it. btw: you can find that trainer here: GTA Vice HQ Trainers
