Trying to create custom clothing models for mp_m_freemode_01

I'm using Blender and Sollumz plugin, I am trying to port a custom mask model to the game, but whenever I get it into the game, the model isn't rigged properly so it jiggles around and isn't centered onto the head. It's like the mask model is attached to the spine or something else. Does anyone know how to fix this? Help would be very much appreciated.

Have you exported a default mask to see how the game expects the model to be rigged?

Yes, I tried using the pumpkin mask. I don't get any bones but I do get these vertex groups. They're assigned to different parts of the mesh and have different weights if that helps. I will admit, I am sort of a newbie when it comes to modding the game. I just followed a basic tutorial but the custom mask I put into the game doesn't fit and move properly with the head.

I honestly know nothing about Blender tools but maybe this image from 3DS Max will help you, this is using Gims Evo. I don't do ped rigging but this was just to show how things would normally be set up. I exported a mask and the mp_f_freemode skeleton to use to show the rigging.

 

Notice in the left panel I have the high res version of the model selected. In the right panel you can see a Skin modifier and in the Bones window towards the bottom you can see SKEL_Head and MH_Hair_Scale. I don't know what the MH_Hair_Scale is but SKEL_Head is the bone those vertices are rigged onto. Because the head doesn't deform and the mask is rigid, it only needs to be rigged to the single Head bone.

 

Perhaps the problem is that Sollunz is trying to assign some automatic weighting that is using either different bones, or multiple bones.

 

That's about all I can offer because like I say, I don't do ped rigging. I am sure Sollunz has a Discord server and that's probably the best place to get help. It should just be a case of rigging the whole mask model onto the SKEL_Head but I don't know how you do that in Blender.

I'm not sure how to export the mask and the skeleton together in Blender. I tried exporting both at the same time but they're still separated. Here's how mine looks.

Here's a video I uploaded showing the problem I'm having. The mask doesn't move and rotate with the head, instead it moves with the spine.
