Hangars?

So... I have about 2.1 million saved up, and I'd been considering getting one of those hangars in Fort Zancudo.  At 2 million, it would leave me with comparatively little cash left over, and I wondered if it's worth the purchase.

What can I do with a hangar?  Can I store planes there?  How many?  Can I customize them?  Would it still cost me $200 to have Pegasus provide them?  What about missions?  Is there any story content associated with a Hangar?

Maybe you should consider investing that money, to make more money, incase you don't have a Nightclub, Agency or Workshop yet. I mean with those you can make good money, this way it's easier longterm.

Just buying a Hangar while you are already low on money isn't very smart.

And believe me if i tell you that, you won't enjoy doing aircargo missions. If you want to do that.

The posts you made in the Bitch and Moan Thread, make it clear you are not a very experienced player yet, you would only be frustrated doing aircargo.

You can not make any money with 'hangar business', and it is still public lobby only work... on the other hand some of the planes & helis are super useful for other in-game work & missions (like Molotok jet). Having your hangar in Fort Zacundo brings great perk that now you can fly over or drive through military base without any stars & alarms - so that is a big map shortcout! Some (if not all, I dont know) of Pegasus/CEO flyers you can 'clone' and have 2 of them, one at Pegasus and other in Hangar, like Buzzard, Savage, jets, heli from Yacht,... you just fly your Pegasus one, and land in hangar to store it there (and pain & modify).

If you are ok with flying, then hangar supply & sell missions are great (some of the best in game for me), at least in smaller dose and as a change from usual stuff - and you have to do 42 missions to unlock all trade prices for aircrafts (it is a big money save). I did that on both of my characters, for fun and for flying machines, one time with someone other time solo, and couple more extra hangar weeks here and there 🤓

... with all that, NO, dont buy any hangar if it's all of your money 😄 (wait for time when you have time and/or money for hangar - and - for planes you like to buy!

I saw a friend of me doing aircargo in friends only session, so i think that works. I haven't done it myself, but how else should he have been able to do that in my friends only session then.

Every business can be done in invite only now. R* didn't touch I/E either and that can be done solo.

Wow, I totally missed this info as well - this is great for hangars, more people will try playing for sure, and it can be good fun for people with friends!

You will not play it for money, but who at least once play missions where you attack stronghold from air and they shoot RPGs at you, you'll get hooked for sure!

Once I did solo sell mission with Hunter somewhere in the city in full public lobby, and it was proper epic warzone with rockets everywhere, as I was circling around landing site shooting rockets down at them while rockets was flying up at me - and as nobody really play hangar stuff, nobody from lobby come even close to see what's with all that shooting (ok, I was also prob. very lucky with nicer lobby then usual on PC 🙄)

yep store planes there, dont remember how many (20?) and yes you can customize them if you still have money :D

once in the hangar, they're personal aircraft and can be called free of charge, but if you crash them, it costs $1000.

yes theres a business just like the special cargo. its tedious and doesnt pay well...

Some aircraft are personal vehicle only and can't be called from Pegasus, meaning you need a hanger to buy them.

A hanger at Fort Zanchudo allows you to access the military base without getting a wanted level, and will open the gates so you no longer need to jump the fence.   And if you steal a jet you only get get 2 star after you rather then 4 start.

All Pegasus aircraft can be driven into the hanger after you call them in and converted to personal aircrafts, allowing for customisation.   However most of these vehicles will only have access to paint options.    Still the personal aircraft spawn locations, while they don't spawn beside you like a CEO Buzzard or Kosaka Sparrow, they are still usually a little bit better then Pegasus spawns.

The hanger has a business but it's not great.   Maybe if you had 3 friends willing to help and you went around always collecting 4 crates, maybe it'd be OK then.   But playing solo you'll always be forced to get 1 crate.    It's a really grindy and low paying business.

If you don't like the special cargo source missions, the hanger missions are just as bad if not worse, and the sell missions are pretty bad too.

I did enough source missions to unlock the trade price for all the vehicles and that's it for me. I only do them now when there's a daily objective for it.

Really, if you don't have one yet a Nightclub should be your next purchase, instead of a hanger that will drain all your money.

If you are new and low on money I wouldn’t waste the money on a Hangar. Aside from storing some planes they are pretty useless.

I have one and I will never do air cargo again. It’s full of planes and I will never use them. Just a giant waste of large amounts of money. Of course it’s fake money and I had it to spend but still.

Players that don’t, shouldn’t bother.

Thanks for the info, I'll hold off for now, then.

My only businesses are the CEO and Motorcycle Club (just counterfeiting, I'm not interested in selling drugs).  I don't mind the CEO missions for resupply and such, they can just be kind of frustrating.  Part of the main reason I had for wanting a hangar was to get my hands on a Buzzard that I could use reliably for CEO supply missions (which constantly screw me over with helicopters to chase).  But, I can manage with my ground vehicles.

I've no night club now, I hadn't really wanted to get one.  Just not my style, but I keep hearing how it's the best source of income.  Still pondering.

If you buy a Buzzard from Warstock, you can always spawn a Buzzard, right next to you, while you are a CEO.

You can also call Pegasus for one placed halfway across the map when you're not a CEO.

Especially now, the Nightclub is really good money. I'm making about 30% more from the $50K daily safe than the warehouse production even with 5/5 techs and upgraded equipment.

This is the perfect response. Pros: Plane storage, Zancudo access, Pegasus paint and PV options. Cons: Absolutely awful and time consuming resupply/delivery missions. Good job, @justinlynch3

Hangar is only worth it to own aircraft and no wanted level when flying over the military base. These aircraft are spawned from the interaction menu and count as your personal vehicle, meaning you can't have your regular car out at the same time. They spawn at set locations around the map, search online for a map. The business is not worth your time. Only do it to unlock the trade prices for associated aircraft.

Honestly, I almost never use my aircraft. Mostly because it's annoying to spawn them and travel to where they are without use of my car. Good news is, they will spawn in front of you. If you know the spawn points you can travel there then call the aircraft and watch it spawn in. There are a few missions where personal aircraft is nice to have. Akula for stealth to hide from cops, reduces wanted level to 2 stars. Tula for it's quick JATO takeoffs and ability to land on water is useful. But honestly, the hangar isn't necessary if you already have a CEO Buzzard, Sparrow, and Oppressor MK 2.

I won't tell you to go and buy a Hangar on Fort Zancudo, I'll only tell you to never buy one at LSIA. Zancudo has more perks. (free access to the base, and you can "borrow" the P-996 Lazer)

However, this is endgame content, and I do not recommend buying this as an investment. Air freight is the worst business in the game. At least MC weed and documents are mostly passive.

I filled it up once (42 single crate sources to unlock all the trade prices), sold the lot and left it empty since then. (sell max. 10 solo, and pray you don't get the Havoks or the Mogul)

The smuggling business is also the hardest one to get into, you need to be a good pilot, with good airmanship and situational awareness. I highly recommend finishing the flight school first.

Before you buy a Hangar, you should have a Kosatka (for Cayo Perico heist, still the main moneymaker), and a Nightclub with the following linked businesses: (please quote me and tell me which of these you have already)

  • Bunker (for Sporting Goods)
  • MC coke (for South American Imports)
  • MC meth (Pharmaceutical Research)
  • MC counterfeit cash (Cash Creation)
    • MC businesses and bunker don't need upgrades, or supplies, they only need to be up and running (setup done, and not shut down)
    • Feel free to upgrade and run (supply and sell) the bunker and MC businesses, but I personally only run the bunker. I don't bother with MC businesses because of the the tedious sale missions.
    • CEO crate warehouse is not required once you have a Hangar. Hangar also unlocks Cargo & Shipments.
