(Glitch) Not getting cars to sell for Auto Shop

I haven't had any cars to sell from my auto shop garage for about a week now. Has anyone else had this happen to them before or is there a way to fix it.

Yes, this seems to be happening to quite a few people since the latest update as released. I haven't seen anyone come up with a fix yet.

Same issue, not a single autoshop customer car since 26th.

Yeah didn't get any too since 26th. I hoped after a tunable update it would unbug itself, but nope still nothing. I also did a workshop contract (robbing the 6 fleeca banks) last week, that also didn't help at all.

 

Also there is a topic about it already.

Hmm clearing the game's cache might actually help, i think i will try that.

I cleared the cache but that didn't help. Then I deleted the local profile completely and it worked!

It worked for me too. Thanks for the tip.

I always use this Simple Cache Cleaner for GTA V, to delete my GTA V files, it worked fine.

Hmm, do you know what is the most interesting? I also got the first these two cars: black Weevil and black Brioso. Looks like it's not so random.

Can someone remind me how to clear cache on pc without using mods? Searched on net but couldn't find definitive method on pc, there is something about typing home screen when in game and deleting local profile or something but i'm not sure if that's the correct way to do it.

I just delete three folders:

Username\Documents\Rockstar Games

Username\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games

Username\AppData\Local\Temp

Local profile can be deleted in RSLauncher, if you use it.

 

ADD: You shouldn't be in the game at this time.

Then you must to restore all the settings manually.

Just using the cache cleaner is easier and faster, just doing 2 clicks. I mean it's no "mod" it just deletes the stuff that needs to be deleted. But it has to be run as admin else it doesn't work. I mean thousands of ppl use this cleaner, so why not take advantage of it too.

Wait, so clearing the cache is helping for those who aren't getting Auto Shop deliveries at all? That's interesting... Wonder if it's stale old update data that's incompatible and causing the game to freak out internally. I'm not even sure what this cache holds on PC.

 

I have had Auto Shop vehicles but the RNG is also so complex that sometimes it takes absolute ages, like literal IRL hours of playing.

 

EDIT: I know that the cache in %Temp% holds misc. data the game downloads, such as loading screen images and potentially other save data, so I wonder if that's the one that should be cleared to try and resolve the issue. Documents/GTA V/Profiles also has a cloudsavedata.dat. Deleting the entire Documents R* folder would delete all your save games for all R* games and Snapmatics as well.

I don't know what exactly is causing the crash, but it's clearly some kind of mismatch between the local data and the data stored on the server.

And by the way now the delivery works somehow strange. After confirming the delivery, the character seems to be reborn in the auto shop. And the second car needs to be confirmed twice. Because the first time the menu just closes.

Yes, Username\AppData\Local\Temp does not need to be deleted immediately. Only if deleting the first two folders doesn't help. "Time" stores data from other programs, and you may have to log in again, configure something ... etc.

If you have not disabled forced cloud saving, then all saves will be loaded from the server when you first load the game. Don't be surprised if the first run is a little long. We only have a copy of the server version on our computers. And the server version will always take precedence over the local one. Just for security reasons and to avoid abuse of cheats and scams.

I wanted to check it, but I forgot... it seems to me that deleting the local profile erases these folders too. And maybe some more?

 

PS. If you are afraid to delete immediately, then just move these folders to another location or rename them.

Deleting local profile via launcher solved the  problem, also got black weevil and brioso at the same time. However after those two i've sold i still hadn't got anymore cars coming into the autoshop. I'll see how it goes tonight.

Swapping characters and selling one car in the secondary character autoshop made cars pop back in the primary character for some reason.

Well i got a few more cars tonight so issue has been solved for me.

It somehow takes a while after the black Brioso and Weevil are delivered, maybe up to 5 or 6 ingame days, but then you get the cars very regular again. I get 1 or 2 every ingame day now again, it works fine i let my workers deliver them.

I just stumbled across this thread when I came here to report that I've finally had my first auto shop mission again since they stopped working for me (and seemingly many others!) several months ago. And I'll be damned if I didn't get the Weevil like you others!! Too tired tonight to see if I get the Brioso next but I'll try to remember to keep my eye out next time, haha! =D

I again have the same glitch. Again I don't get cars in the autoshop and don't get bikes in clubhouse. 

I can't say sure, but I think this started about 10 days ago after some minor update. But for this once clearing the cache doesn't help.

I sometimes have long stretches where I don't get any calls that a customer came in to the shop. One thing I do is just go there when that happens and there will sometimes be a car sitting there ready to be worked on that I never got a call for. I'm on XB1 BTW.

1 thing I’ve noticed is if i afk in the auto shop cars won’t spawn, when I do afk now it’s in the car meet and every time I come back and go to the shop I have 2 cars waiting, might be something to look in to.  On xb1
