There has been an error joining a session.

After last update (Criminal enterprises) I've got an issue (PS4) - when I start a any capture (official or custom) with a friend, who uses same router and is connected from next room, after start it kicks me or him or both of us out with the message: THERE HAS BEEN AN ERROR JOINING A SESSION. PLEASE RETURN TO GTA V. Before we have no problems like that, we have tried restart the router, reinstall the game but nothing. There is no problem with other instances like races, deathmatches etc, only captures.

 

Any hints where could be the problem?

Thank you for the answer. I did send a ticket to Rockstar support and they recommend clear the PS4/game gache. But that do not work. So I have assigned static IP for each console and enabled upnp, as you recommended, but that doesnt work neither. And sometimes it shows also the message: THE SESSION YOU'RE TRYING TO JOIN IS CURRENTLY FULL OF PLAYERS. The problem still persists only in CAPTURE instances.

Yes. No problem with joining to all kind of sessions, invite, crew, closed friend... Just official rockstar/custom creator captures kick us out. A bit strange this issue. There is no problem, if another friend join the capture via different router, it works properly and he stays, just the friend on same router is kicked out as always.

And if you host different type of job? Maybe these exploit captures got patched somehow.

The strange thing is that hosting or participating different types of jobs work properly. We play deathmatches, races etc., only us two or with random people, all without any problem. Then we go to capture, no matter if rockstar created or our custom, and again me or him or both (randomly) are kicked out to story mode. If I try play the same capture with random people from matchmaking, it works properly. But if I play the same capture with random people and my friend joins it (on same router), me or him are kicked out and the one who is not kicked, stay and play with that random people. Looks like there's a bug. Problem is, that no so many people play on same router, so if there is some bug, it is not so easy to figure it out. Tomorrow I will check one more thing - we will move our consoles and tv's to another friends house and try to play it on his router to see, if the problem si my router or is rockstar bug.

 

BTW what you mean with "exploit captures"?

So yes, as I expected, connecting both consoles to different router results in same issue - everything work good, except captures. It seems as a rockstar bug. I'm in contact with them and let's see what they will find. Anyway I would like to know, if someone else experiences same problem.

The only solution that Rockstar recommended port forwarding. But issue persist and game kicks us out of captures. Only from captures, the rest of modes work perfectly...
