GTA Online Crash - 0xc0000005 - fatal game exit (reason: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION)

Hello.

 

I have been recently witnessing crashes in GTA Online, whenever I spent a little time in an online session and I drive a car fast my game first freezes including the audio and then after 10-20 seconds proceeds to either get a black screen (when I tab out) and quit or quit itself after the audio stops. I have already tried the following solutions:

 

- Updated Graphics Card

-Disable Shader Cache

-Lower Graphics (GPU: GTX 1070, CPU: i7-7700 3.60 Ghz, RAM: 16GB)

-Disable overlays (Overwolf, Discord)

-Verify Integrity of Game Files

-Reinstall Rockstar Games Launcher/Social Club

-Clear Cache per Mod

 

I would really appreciate it if somebody helps me with this.

I had the same error code a few years ago, though different circumstances - the game would get halfway through the Rockstar intro and crash. 

 

Might be a long shot, but the way I fixed it was by running msconfig, Boot -> Advanced Options and making sure the Debug option is unchecked. 

 

I doubt it'll be the case for you (not sure why the option was even enabled on my PC in the first place) but the error code is super vague and could be caused by literally anything so I figured I might as well share.
