An entire month for Collector Set Sales. It’s already been established that no major updates are happening again so I guess I’ll blow that money on more beer and whiskey in the saloons.

 

It’s great for new players just getting into the Collector Role though who are low on money and want the stuff they haven’t purchased yet. Get out there and explore cowpokes.

Money's a non-issue after the recent news (although I do feel like a chump for ditching all my spare sets for quick cash when the 'no more updates' news dropped - probably should have waited a month! ) - but those free unlockable items? Yeah, sure, I'm game - I've always tried to get the ones for any role I do, but more so now, just to show that people do still care about and play this game.

 

So for me, that's: 1) a 10-week Collector daily streak for both role item vouchers, 2) dig up a fossil each week (for the next 5 weeks) for that free ammo, and 3) sell the weekly set to Madam Nazar for the five weekly items. Yeah, I'm up for a month of casual treasure-hunting (made that little bit more relaxed thanks to our lord and saviour, Jean Ropke! ).

it's funny how they have all these bonus money events. but for us veteran players. there is nothing for us to buy. the only thing i spend money on now is ammo and tonics when i do pvp. but that hardly puts a dent in my wallet. i want new guns and horses to buy. new properties and more. instead im forced to watch my favorite game ever get treated like crap. where are those telegram missions they promised us? just give us the buffalo rifle they teased us. and finish the land of opportunities story. if they gave me that i would be content. but i guess even asking for something that small is just way too much for them.

I redownloaded red dead 2 again. I did a moonshine delivery which was my favorite delivery back when i used to play regularly (love killing the bureau guys) i love the shooting in this game so i decided to do a deathmatch. You still cant pick what type of match you want. And hardcore mode is only free aim only which sucks for me because i hate people using abilities and stuff in normal deathmatchs

Dunno if someone could help here. I don't get these events really. How do you claim this weekly reward? How do I know if I did it or it worked? I delivered the weekly to Nazar but I can't find the Griffith chaps, is that it for it? Is it at the end of week? I own many colors but not the one they show on the promotion pic, Newswire is pretty vague... Nothing is very clear, never have received clothing in the mail, my benefits tab is nothing new. I think there were some events in the past like this but never could claim them? Or anything about it. Is there more to this? Because the game is older just seeing stuff about 2019 but still not how to receive these sorts of things.

Yeah, it's a bit too vague, compared to how GTAO's login bonuses are usually given to you the moment you enter the game. There are a couple of useful rules of thumb, though:

 

- Sometimes you have to give it 72 hours between doing the task, and getting the reward - and I tend to wait a couple of days before even doing the task, just so the event week is definitely up and running.

- Sometimes you can just check the Catalogue website for the thing to process (just refresh the page a day later), but sometimes it's worth logging in again a day or two later to make sure.

 

So, for this week's item (Griffith Chaps), I waited until Thursday to hand in the weekly list - and to make sure, I handed it to Madam Nazar in person, rather than through the mail (because the "collectibles sold to Madam Nazar" daily challenge doesn't register if you just deliver stuff at the mail clerk). Then I hopped into RDO earlier (Friday evening), and I'd gone from having one pair of Griffith Chaps to having two - so job done, apparently!

 

As for knowing which colour item you're supposed to get, there is actually a place where you can see it: go to the in-game Benefits page, and then find the page like this (see below) that mentions the item of the week:

 

 

 

This week, there was a pic of a character wearing black/blue Griffith Chaps - and sure enough, those were the ones I got. So that's the one place you can check the colour of the item you're getting.

Ah I see, ya I couldn't find a way to guarantee I earned with being used to the Battlepasses so obvious was going in circles lol. Appreciate for the tips/clarity there partner. And now I just saw I have 6 colors for Griffith Chaps now which took a day to appear. It didn't highlight them as being new but looks like it worked. Thanks

Welp: this week, I looked to see the colour of Range Gloves unlocked from doing the weekly list, and ...generic pic of Madam Nazar.  I've already got a pair of black ones, so either I'll get a different pair (in which case, that's the colour unlocked this week), or the black ones are the ones unlocked this week - in which case, I get bupkis.

 

[Update] After waiting a day or two after handing in the weekly items, I logged in, checked the catalogue, and it showed a second pair unlocked: the two-tone brown ones, third colour in. So unless it's random (shouldn't be, IIRC), these are the gloves unlocked this week:
