Like it seems like a huge dick move to open the migration services for only the new consoles. I got tried of the console crap and built a computer that is now able to handle the game but I can't transfer all my years of progress over. Does anyone know if they plan on opening it up for PC at some point or did I just waste money on even buying the game?

I highly doubt they will ever open transfers like that up again.

 

Didn't waste money, you just have to start fresh. When I made the same move in 2019 I was in the same boat and did not want to start fresh, so I had my account "recovered" to match my console account. That isn't really safe these days though so you are most likely stuck.

I do like that idea, although very unlikely. If you neglect your character in console you can miss the window of transferring making your character doomed to be deleted, unlike in PC you can keep it for eternity
