To reduce instances of griefing, the Kill/Death statistic will no longer be affected by kills made in Freemode. Going forward, this ratio will only be affected by kills scored in competitive gameplay.

Anti Grief Ghosting option to ghost players driving in the wrong direction, an option to set the specific time of day for a Race, and the ability to scale Checkpoint size.

With the launch of GTA Online: The Criminal Enterprises, all standard Race types — including player-created Races — will pay out an average of 50% more GTA$.
 

Payouts for all Adversary Modes currently available in GTA Online will also be boosted by an average of 50%, meaning players can earn extra GTA$ taking on opponents in unique modes like Sumo (Remix), Overtime Rumble, and many more.

It's quite telling how we've gotten so used to things being unbalanced that we think it's a bad sign whenever they begin to balance and fix things for the better.

And after stealing a high value Primary Target in The Cayo Perico Heist Finale, the higher value Primary Targets will appear less often for the next 72 hours, while the value of Secondary Targets will increase. This is intended to encourage exploration and cooperation between players."

 

BS, they don't want us to grind CP that much :D Hopefully, the door glitches remains.

I'm thinking the same. What would confirm this is if some of these changes,
like sell in invite-only, carry over into the next game. But we'll see if that's the case in a couple of years.  

If not then this is clearly a way for them to leave on a good note.

The amount of people who think halting K/D will suddenly, magically remove tryhards and griefers from the game is a bit worrying.

A lot of tryhards don't care about boosting their K/D.

You see it when you have players with a negative K/D or a zero K/D.

 

It may have some small impact, but only that.

In turn, you might find some backlash from those who currently benefit from it - in the form of increased griefing.

Watch out.

Nice! I think we've all always thought it was pretty ridiculous to be fined for fighting back.

It's definitely not a *solution* but I do think it will help a bit at least with a certain specific bubble of griefers - the K/D warriors.

No, my friends, this is not the end of this game, it's the beginning as it should has been. 

They're not leaving with a high note, but trying to set the foundations of a game not based on The Grind but on teamwork and better designed mechanics and missions.

I'm also curious if freemode deathmatches would still add towards KDR. But perfectly, RS should remove scoreboard altogether, unless it's a deathmatch.

This was originally one of the dumbest of 'small' things in recent GTAO - I did around 90 by now (I'm just not a grinder guy) I can still sometimes/often drive car straight to Agency garage to finish contract, usually after burning down strip-club for judges fancy watch, yet garage is not in this newswire 😄 

 

- When delivering Security Contracts back to the Agency, players will be able to enter via Helicopter or walk in through the entrance on the roof, rather than needing to enter through the front door at ground level.

Low Grip Racing lobbies, and Drift Crews of any type of rides! 

My lowriders will flow smooth like butter, while jumping like ballerinas...
