I fell in love with the design since seeing the helicopter in 'Speed' (1994). Spoiler Although the Frogger fills a similar role (with the lack of tail rotor to get tangled in trees etc.), it isn't the same beast as I wanted, so this is a good addition and very fitting with an IAA role. The only drawback that I can see is that it continues the trend of having yawning-open rear doors that we won't be able to close! (looking at you especially, Stealth Annihilator). As I said in the other thread, the weaponized MD 900/Explorer exists and I would love to have it for variety, so I am not always stuck with the Buzzard as a small helicopter. Looking at it carefully now it's false alarm and it's just a Buzzard tho, the rotor mast housing is distinctly Buzzard and inconsistent with this new helo. It would be nice if it's nimble but also have explosive cannons instead of missiles or anything else, something different but still effective. A small explosive cannon on one side with homing missiles on the other would be nice. Or maybe just a small rocket barrage and the explosive cannon. tjakal Posted July 27 Share Posted July 27 Initially flying it during the mission and noticing how sluggish it was and hearing how it had no countermeasures or survivability or option to be weaponized I was very underwhelmed. Getting it anyways (because nothing else to spend them GTA$ on) and joyriding the upgraded around the map I changed my mind tho, with engine and handling it feels significantly faster and more nimble than a buzzard, and more stable in the air. I can fly thru tunnels and tiny gaps without hesitation in this where I would often end up dinging the buzzard. It feel like a sportscar version of a unarmed buzzard. A more nimble buzz with Volatus kind of speed, can see myself use this one a lot actually. I love helos, never touch my mk2 even for grinding, but I feel kinda silly commuting in a gunship all the time. And the Volatus is ineffective to speedrun heist setups etc in because of how finicky it is to land. This helo is a nice addition for the immersive rotor-heads of LS. It’s not a Pegasus vehicle, and can’t be summoned via the SecuroServ vehicle menu, Office exit option, Agency exit option, or Casino exit option. The only way to get it is to personally fly it out of your hangar, or use the Spawn Personal Aircraft menu option. The Spawn Personal Aircraft option will (as always) put it in one of those annoyingly inconvenient pre-determined spawn points that are always a long way from you, and simultaneously takes away your personal car, making it even more annoying to actually get to there. You can call Franklin to get the agency SUV or Ms Baker to get one of her vehicles to get there, but inevitably when you most want to do that, the game won’t let you call them for some reason. But I will say that the Conada is super fast and handles beautifully once upgraded, and is easily my favourite helicopter to fly now. Man if only we could do that. This little bas*ard is actually quite fun to fly and honestly feels not too far off the BF3 Little Bird with level 4 EMS and race handling. That's actually quite high praise, had this had MGs and Rocket Pods (like the hunters pods) it would actually be the single best attack heli in the game handling wise.
