Found a wreck, I don't think anyone else has ever found it?

I looked all over the place online, but I couldn't find any reference to the wreck I found.  It's an old double wheel paddle boat... but it's out in the middle of the Pacific, near where the Luxington spawns.  Anyone else ever seen this?

Interesting. So this is out wayyyy into the void, outside of the regular map? But even so, you'd think the model would've been datamined as some kind of cut content, at least.

That's strange. Isn't that about where Cayo Perico spawns? I know there's tons of stuff under water around the island so maybe it's an asset that's supposed to be at Cayo but has been left on the normal map? Still, spooky looking.

I'm 99% positive that this is clutter from cayo perico and shown in a video that shows the underwater secrets of cayo perico.

It is known artefact from Cayo Perico and you got it spawned in regular session - but I'll say it does look spooky like that 

Let hope RS is going to 'open up' CP somehow so we could go there and explore without tricks...

My question really is, what were you doing so far out to see in a Kraken? Do you do this normally in the hopes of finding something? Just curious

it's a part of cayo perico scenery and the reason it's there is because r* forgot to set the map file flags to be spawned by script only, in other words some objects spawn permanently as if they were a part of los santos. iirc there's also whale skeletons, random small props, grass, occluders, and the entire hangar interior collision* that aren't being removed properly.

 

*though in the hangar interior's case, it's because of how the game works -- interior collisions are never removed even if map file flags are correct and the map file is unloaded. they have to use a specific function to actually disable interior collisions, god knows why it's so convoluted but anyway.

 

all likely contributing to the reason why normally there's a teleport zone over where cayo perico is supposed to be.

I had been just cruising out there to wait for a carrier spawn.  I was curious about the underside of the Luxington, and just like being underwater.  Love my Kraken.  I really didn't expect to find anything out there (about 150-200ft deep), but I do sometimes just cruise around looking for easter eggs.
