I am starting to lose hope since it's.... Predictable to announce it now.

Plus the leaks made the game look kinda premature/in a pre alpha state.

Sure i love the potential but maybe they wanna show the game AFTER it reaches a certain milestone?

Also if its a late 24/early 25 release i wouldn't be surprised if they wanted a tighter marketing period so yeah....

 

I don't think Feb23 will pass without any kind of news though, since it's gonna be one year after initial announcement.

 

But again you never know.

I expected a trailer in 18. Got Rdr 2 instead.

Expected a trailer in 20. Nothing. Sure covid hit but still nothing.

Expected a trailer in 21. Got the trilogy which was great (imo) but still no Vi.

Even if you told me we would get a trailer in 2023, i would believe you.

Lol i know people hate it and for good reason... I just loved the fact that i could play these classics with great graphics and new control styles.

Also i was lucky enough to not experience a big amount of bugs, especially in Vice city and 3.

SA was the buggier of the group but nothing game breaking tbh.

Hoping we get a trailer straight way, no need for a teaser since they already announced the next game is coming. Hopefully they're straight to the point. Reveal. Trailer. Release date.

I don't think they'll just throw a trailer out there right away, they'll either do a profile picture change or just drop a little tease and say they're dropping a trailer in a few days.

If they are really going to make an announcement, which I highly doubt, then I would be happy with the usual announcement in the form of a hashtag post, as was the case with GTA 5, and then they can sit in silence for another six months or a year. Again, if the announcement is this year, then such an outcome will be the most optimal, I can’t imagine anything more than this

I have some news about GTA VI announcement but this news will sure make you all disappointed.

 

I've known a guy a while back(2019) that work with R* and he is not a developer but he works with them in a post(not gonna reveal what it is) that will make him know when announcement will happen.

 

I know this guy through one of my friends but i never tried to ask him anything about R* the only thing I know is that he works with them but today I got the chance to meet him I asked him one question:

 

"As R* fan will we get disappointed this month?"

He refuses to answer me and said:

"I don't have answers for that because I don't know anything about it just wait for R* to announce it themselves"

I told him:

"Do even [his job at R*] don't know about the announcement and when will it happen?is R* so secretive to this extent? but you need to know about it because you are the one who [information about his job]?

"Well look R* still didn't tell us anything or tell us what to do which surely means and suggest you will be disappointed and that's all I can say"

 

There two possibilities:

 

1: there is announcement this year but he didn't want to reveal because it's risky to even engage.

2:there isn't and R* isn't prepared to announce it this year.

 

Either way I see you all until October 2023 and hopefully R* doesn't fire him or do anything that's not good to him after I post this here.

Thats the release date after first delay from oct 2024 to may 2025, and before the second and final delay from may 2025 to oct 2025

Pretty sure your friend wouldn’t know only the higher ups at rockstar know that info I assume

Nah, it won't be as late as october 2025, but I'm almost sure it will be early to mid 2025.

I'll only believe you because I knew a few guys from Rockstar back in the GTA 5 days who confirmed me that RDR2's leaked map was real and that it'd be announced later that year and it actually was, sadly I don't have contact with them anymore.
