See, they used background scripts to put props in front of the Casino back when they were teasing that DLC, I'd imagine they could easily do something similar here with that UFO.

 

I guess it is just not the plan, so if they do announce anything on that day, it would be a missed opportunity to place the UFO like in that screenshot.

R* likes announcing/revealing games roughly two years out and they have a thing for doing both in October. With VI potentially slated for a 2024 release...

That's what we've been saying about the UFOs currently appearing in GTA Online. They may be linked to a VI reveal soon...

Well that's the game then. If it's meant to appear in-game on Friday, then a VI reveal will most likely happen that day regardless if that's how R* planned it... whether or not issues persist with the spawning cycle that day.

I still think the way to go is to have 0 expectations and then be blown away if they do change their profile picture.  I do admit though, it's kinda difficult not to be hyped

Regardless it only means an official reveal is imminent and the hype machine will be steaming up and going on at 180. This did happen back then with RDR2

I know if anything is planned it would get the go ahead anyway, but it would be kinda funny if it doesn't all go to plan, especially with the stupid spawning issues people have been having.

Well, we don’t really know what they’re gonna do, if they’re choosing to tease the game changing the logo like they did with RDR2, or if they’ll just drop the VI logo like they did with V. In that case, the reveal will coincide with the announcement.
