Even if a fully fledged trailer doesn't come soon I do think they could do like short teaser videos disguised as GTA lore ads or something. Or, you know, a logo and such.

 

I do have a feeling they were gearing up to show the game more properly soon regardless of leaks tho.

Yes, what is unreasonable or unrealistic about that.

 

From the leaks, it is obvious that they aren’t ready to share any footage or technical details of the game. But think about if we wouldn’t have gotten the leaks last month. We’d still know jack about the game other than Rockstar acknowledging that they are working on it back in February. 

Before February, there wasn’t a single word on what Rockstar was doing after RDR2 for almost 4 years. And even after Rockstar promised to share more with us “soon” after February, we have still went 8 months without anything besides the leaks happening. I’m not demanding gameplay footage or screenshots or anything, but when people get uncomfortable with years going by without a word, Rockstar could be respectful to their customers and give them an update on the development process every now and then.

they could easily do a logo reveal, artwork, general synopsis of the game.....and say something like expect a trailer early 2023 or something

So you want them to tell people "yeah we are hard at work on the game folks" every 3 months, they mention the game twice just like that without showing anything and people are also finding that "disrespectful".

Unfortunately all of this goes right past Rockstar's eyes and ears every time 

 

In all fairness though, they did provide a minor update on the development of VI this past July (five months after the initial confirmation of its existence) when talking about their summer plans for GTAO, unfortunately this came at the cost of ending major updates for RDO.

V was announced in 2011, RDR2 in 2016. That's five years. You're right about the gap though, it's coming up on six years since a major R* title announcement. Blame the pandemic perhaps

From all the leaked footage we have seen so far, I have seen a motel room and a small apartment. And I honestly can't tell if the apartment was indeed an apartment or if it was a different motel room.

HAHA honestly I sort of agree. Steven Ogg has always kind of bugged me, especially after the latest Cameo incident. 

 

I might be alone but I don't want any significant or meaningful V actor/character returning in VI period, not even Lester or Lamar.

I hope we can earn more properties instead of replacing them, GTA 5 replaced Franklin's old house with a new one, RDR2 didn't even give us a house for most of the game either.
