Well i guess that is the feeling of a lot of people that are themselves stuck in the bubble of the 80's. But today having into account all the modern stuff that they will put in the game to sell shark cards, i don't think a GTA VI set on the 80's again would be feasable. In 2002, ok, 1986 wasn't yet 20 years in the past (crazy to think about it), but now, imagining that hte game will come out in 2024 and is set in 2024 (like gta V SP was set in 2013 and was release in 2013), from 1986 would be 38 years afar from the past. That's too much generational conflict, specially for this younger generation of kids that don't know how life was before cellphones.

If in 2024 we got a Vice City set in the 80s, that would be like the 2002 GTA Vice City being set in the 60s lol, crazy to think about.

It's because muh scarface, muh 80s music, muh Tommy Vercetti, and muh Miami Vice.

 

Vice City/Miami has a lot to offer beyond 80s Nostalgia. Having Vice City set in a modern period offers far more creativity and originality than keeping it stuck in the 1980s.

Come on, everybody knows making games nowadays is just throwing some stuff into Unreal Engine 5, animating it, giving some actors a script to read and bam, you got a game! These corporations are just so lazy because of money!!

And you can always go retro, if they put vintage cars, arcades, 80's clothing, without the need to be in that time period. It's a win-win situation for them (and us).

I heard that before Miami Vice tv show the city of Miami didn't had much happening back then, Ocean Beach was pretty much a place were the elderly went there to catch sunlight, at least it was what i heard in a documentary about the serie a long time ago.

I think that is also due to the fact that modern Miami hasn’t had a major role - apart from CSI: Miami - in entertainment products (tv shows, movies, other games), unlike NY or LA, which are featured much more in the entertainment business. Many people don’t really have a perspective of Miami as it is nowadays, so they don’t know what to expect, unless you’re actually from there.

Almost two and a half years after The Last of Us 2's release, there's still an active community on Reddit that's actively hating on that game, making some conspiracies about how Neil Druckmann is pushing an agenda, etc. I'll never forget one time when they accused a YouTuber called Girlfriend Reviews of sending death threats to one of the users of that subreddit, and it turned out that the user who accused them actually send those death threats to himself. Those people are pathetic, and it just shows how far some degenerates are willing to go these days when it comes to hating a game no one forced them to play.

Since you played the game, what else do you know about Jason?

Not sure if this has been discussed, but apart from being able to switch between characters, I think it's evident that you can have the other character "follow" you as such.

 

I think this will be really cool, and I imagine also you'd have the option to tell them not to follow you.

 

This was perhaps tested to some extent with the horse dynamics in RDR2, being able to call the horse, tell it to flee, or have it stay put after getting off it.

I am one of those noobs that didn't play the original TLOU up until a few months ago, I liked the story, I went into TLOU2 with a negative opinion, I knew how the story goes, the leaks/launch outrage led me to believe that it's a horrible story, but I actually liked where it headed, I mean I hated the events themselves but I feel like that's what they were trying to go for, so I am slowly changing my opinion from this "games's story sucks" (which I got before even playing the game just based on the snippets I've seen online) to this game's story having this depressing tone is a creative decision that should be appreciated.

 

 

Edit: Yes, I ,of course, finished The Last Of Us 1 before the remake came out -_-

I'd go so far as to say that they even had that idea planned for RDR2 and they got rid of it, seeing as some form of "companion" mechanic is in that game, the first trailer had that shot at the end where the gang is running from the law and that never happened in the game in that spot, a shot in Valentine with the gang walking down the town also suggests the same thing.

 

With that said, it better not be mandatory, I'd be annoyed if I gotta bring the other character with me very time.

This is the big issue with this, it's not even confirmed if that shot is indeed from GTAVI, I know it's difficult to get a confirmation on such things, but if we had more concert evidence I'd lean more towards relating the UFO event to a possible reveal.

I say some sh*t in kind of a lash back but I don't get why you'd go and stalk someone and try and harass them especially, and really, especially over something as simple as what, you dislike what they said or you don't like their video game? I think that’s indeed from GTA VI. I mean, that photo featured assets that are not present in GTA V nor RDR2, plus it has volumetric clouds and the style of the house basically screams Florida.

I am optimistic about this and believe in the following scenario: Trailer with the release date to fall 2023, with a possible delay of the release date to early 2024, or fall 2024 (as they did with RDR2)

By the way, this is the theory of the Tez2.
