Nah, but I hope they change it from Florida to something else. I always thought it was stupid that Miami and Vice City were supposed to be rival cities in the 3D universe. And apparently in current canon Detroit can exist alongside Carcer City and so can California alongside San Andreas so who knows 🤷‍♂️

well i like both but, 80s could have worked too for story, to my opinion far better and will be very unique. GTA Vice City and Stories is old. Think what they can do today

the nightlife in 80s setting will be very different


I think we would get way to limited in terms of SK sells. They want to give super cars, which wasn't something in that era. And we would have to be stuck with a pager, etc. Not tha much appealing for younger generations (yes, you can say that people in 2002 were kids playing a game set in 1986 but, back then it was only 16 years on the past, it wasn't that much far), but comparing 1986 to 2022 that's quite the stretch. Now if they have some prologue happening in the 80's for the introductory mission? It's possible.

Not many want a prologue set in the past again from what I see, I am one of them. They can try a story DLC set in the 80s but that's a lot of work so who knows, probably they won't.

I understand GTA Online stuff the mk3 oppressors will make them money :bruh:

yeh criminal mastermind trophies were terrible . Thankfully on playstation you didn't need those for platinum , i kinda like the harder trophies tho that rdr2 had cuz it makes it much rare if you have it .

Yeah, this is something I've been thinking about a little bit lately. If Lucia and Jason really are a couple, which I'm pretty sure is confirmed (if that one line from Jason near the end of the diner robbery scene is anything to go by), how are R* going to properly convey this to the players? I imagine that it definitely goes beyond just doing missions together and going on dating/social activities together. Little details like being able to communicate with the other protag via sharing points of interest, or just receiving an occasional silly text from a protag whilst playing as the other and being able to respond to it would be very cool. I imagine responding to texts would work like responding to e-mails in GTA IV, in which you could send either a negative or a positive reply. But yeah, as you said, the key word is balance. The last thing players need is a situation similar to what we saw in IV in which it felt like the player was being inundated with calls from Niko's friends to hang out. Hell, I know everyone hates how frequent those stupid phone calls we get in GTAO are. 

 

Another little detail I'd like to see is maybe something like this when the two are hanging out together. Just to give a little more depth to the characters

Indeed there is a nice thread about it. We believe that 10-14km x 10-14km square ( so between 100km2 to 196km2)

It's way bigger if you count the oob area though, even if you only count the solid part, otherwise it's almost the same size.

Yes, and the details, the visual distance (go on a mountain and see the rivers) make the illusion that is way bigger

Yeah the out of bounds area is definitely bigger, but the playable area is slightly smaller in size.

I strongly reccomend you people to do the oob glitch and explore the areas out there, they're unfinished but really pretty regardless, you can even get into the clouds north of Ambarino.

Some areas out there are so detailed, it's a shame that not much people see them or they only do the oob glitch to go to Nuevo Paraíso.

Was not disappointed since I knew it wasn't gonna happen. But still hoping for a dlc thats all, even though again...kinda doubt.

Wait.. we still didnt get the main story yet, I want the story to be extremely good, thats where I don't want to be disappointed.

Anyway, GTA 7 set in 70s with flower/hippie theme confirmed? :cringekek::kekw:
