Absolutely not, if only for the fact that this can lead to exclusive cars, properties, and even early new map access for GTA+ only.

 

I'm fine with liveries and bonuses and other things that don't matter, but they better not start locking actual good content.

Value wise I can't tell which is better because I have never looked into any of them, but talking purely from a gameplay standpoint, Shark Cards are better, they've been "funding" the game for a long time now while people like me who never bought them get to enjoy it still, nothing is kept away from me as a player, while now with the sub, there are certain items that I have no way of getting other than paying, I'll even say that I don't mind them giving the cars early and for free, as long as we get them after, but now they're throwing in the cosmetics and locking them for the service and it's really annoying.

Oh man, imagine if this one actually happens though? I'll be enraged.

 

I doubt it... I think the outcry would be way bigger than anything before, but they've put this service in the game after 8 years, anything is possible

I didn't state anything as a fact my friend, I really try not getting into arguments over meaningless things recently, especially after being advised by Spider-Vice not to, but you people don't make it any easier for me either.

Idk honestly but I’ve always had the feeling of late October and early November this whole time anyway and not only due to past history overall but we have the 25th anniversary of the franchise and 20th anniversary of Vice City coming as well , it just seems so appropriate for an announcement at this point

Oh, I didn't mean they would lock specific properties behind a GTA+ subscription, obviously the backlash would be too big if they did that.

 

I just feel like it'll generally be of much better value to buy a GTA+ sub in GTA VI than it is right now in V. You only get like $500k monthly with GTA+, which isn't enough to buy anything good in GTA Online, and you can make 2x that by playing one Cayo Perico heist which takes a few hours max.

 

I don't know... they probably used GTA  Online as a testing ground for GTA+, to see how well such a subscription would do in terms of profit. Considering that it was supposedly selling well, I feel like they'll develop and promote it a bit more in GTA VI's Online.

SP focused at first I'd say. Whether people want to believe it or not, SP is still Rockstar's bread and butter.

I think they won't talk about GTA Online 2 until a few months before release. Probably too early for that now.

Absolutley not. Shark cards 2.0 are the best possible outcome in the next GTA. Shark cards are the best case scenario because its all in one currency, unlike in RDO with money and gold, and some things being gold only purchases limit the player alot, Shark cards lets the player buy absolutley anything they want, no exclusives to payment only, again unlike gold bars and GTA +. If a guy buys 8 million worth of shark card money, that money is exactly the same as someone who grinded 8 million legit, and can buy the same things. GTA+ and gold have some exclusives, so for example x item is exclusive to GTA+ and can only be purchased if they spent real money. Not a path i want them to go down, saying GTA + is better than shark cards is just false

Yeah but waking up and the idea of the game actually being announced is such a surreal concept to me. I've waited for this thing for nearly half of my life, and being able to go online and see the game's official logo...

 

I'll be watching the trailer religiously every time I go to bed just like I did with RDR2's gameplay trailers.

I'm tired of people bringing anniversaries to the discussion of the ANOUNCEMENT.

 

Rockstar never cared for anniversaries only for few times when they want remaster a game or put it in mobile and that happened until bully:anniversary edition.

Rockstar isn't going to announce because of an anniversary but because it's time to reveal.

I expect an announcement because it's either this year or next year in the fall because that's always what they did.

I expected an ANOUNCEMENT in October 2021 because it was 3 years after rdr2 like gta5 was to rdr2 but covid happened and the chance increased when R* acknowledged it early this year.

It has to be this October or the next october.

For real. I remember back in 2014/2015, wondering when GTA VI could’ve come out. Who could’ve said I’m still asking that question 7 years later
