It’s gonna be weird af not hearing Lazlow I gotta admit that. It’ll definitely take some time getting used to.

Yeah that's going to suck completely, but I imagine this is the first of a few changes we'll see in the upcoming game.

very good that we get a female character as a playable character

also why does jason keep revealing details about the game? we hear almost nothing from rockstar, jason is the one who keeps reveling this, shouldn’t rockstar be the one to do that?

soon jason will be the one to give us the trailer and the release date lol

So I wonder what exactly has been edited or removed from the original article? Rockstar surely wasn't amused to see this article seemingly revealing details of their biggest upcoming game.

I wonder how Schreier is even allowed to post confidential stuff like this?

Especially with all this hype / interest now, they'd want to use it to full effect

It's actually the most dumb thing you can ever imagine in huge open world map design these days to be honest.I really wish they ain't comfort with this level after shipping rdr2, a game with pretty excellent map design

Actually RDR2's map is unrealistically small, considering what it represents, Saint Denis is about as big as GTA 5's airport, if not smaller than that.

Yeah lol Rockstar would definitely be pissed about stuff like this

Imagine they delay the announcement every time some rando goes out and leaks (real or fake)

I actually care more about "only Vice City" than about GTA becoming woke.

And yet Saint Denis is so many times better than GTAV's entire Los Santos. Saint Denis feels like a real, bustling city ... LS feels empty as hell and only like a facade!

@Len Lfc you got the original article? I would like to read it again.

Unrelated but why can't we delete comments here?

I'm a little disappointed about there being a single city (Vice) only, honestly. Evolving map (additions) sound promising but only if they also expand the single player beyond the original release, otherwise I'm not interested in the grinding-driven and the mostly storyless Online world, unless they incorporate long and SP-like stories in Online, but also without the need to grind in order to unlock them or somethin'.

To the guy who posted the article in PDF, that URL looks suspicious as hell, use something more normal like Google Drive or something...

If they can make only one big city, as big or bigger than Los Santos, but as detailed as Saint Denis, it would be better than multiple smaller and detailed cities or multiple big cities, but not as detailed, that's what I'm saying.

Also, again, a single city/state doesn't mean that it won't be big and detailed. I think people keep missing this. It doesn't mean it'll be scaled down like LS. Also, they can still have cities like Orlando, Daytona Beach, so on so forth.

Sometimes we forgot the GTA V "offline". LS in GTA Online has many "atmospheres" removed (they cut many pedestrians, cut traffic...).

Why are people complaining about R* scaling the game down?

The first trailer for RDR2 showed Arthur in New Austin, and they even recorded lines for him in NA, but just because they removed that part didn't make the game bad, did it?

Not to mention the things they toned down on the PS4/One/PC version such as smaller explosions, they looked so much better on the PS3/360 version.

The report says that it's based on Miami and its surroundings. If Orlando was there, it'd have been at least hinted at. Orlando is much larger than Miami (3x larger). Of course there's still a chance that this report doesn't tell everything, but now there's a chance that it's what it's.

Regardless of everyone's opinion including mine on various subjects through the pages such as map size, dlc, protagonists, i'm just glad the ball is rolling again and we are here with our first bits of GTA VI news and some solid activity.

I hope the "new" Rockstar will be as good as the "old" one was for hyping games pre-release, i am sure it is everyone's favorite thing to do the pre-release mapping, screenshot analysis and more, really want some screens/videos soon.

The trailer didn't show Arthur in New Austin, it showed Arthur in Blackwater, and you technically still can go there as him, if you can survive it.

GTA V's Los Santos was created for PS3/Xbox360, hardware from 2005/2006, and it is actually a great map. It's just that the NPCs and AI in general didn't help it feel alive anough.

Honestly, if GTA VI's map is the same/similar size as GTA V's map, but created for current-gen (2020) hardware.... it could be the best GTA map so far. Full of interiors, a living & breathing world, smart AI with daily routines, more random events, unique places to explore, and so on.

I'm not saying I'd prefer the map to be same/similar size as GTA V's map, I'd prefer it a bit more if it was noticeably bigger. However, even if the map size remains similar to GTA V's, it will still probably feel miles better than GTA V's Los Santos.

Well, it's been a while since I've been here - just dropping in due to this announcement.

Gotta say, I didn't expect it. Though I knew it would piss people off considering fans have been debating the idea of a female protagonist for over a decade now, so it was only natural that it would upset folks.

As for Vice City? What interests me is the vibe of it. Obviously they can't just ape the 1980s aesthetic of the original game, but I hope the city feels unique in its own fashion and the game as a whole has a strong creative direction. GTA V, if I'm honest, really killed my love for the series and I hate having to go back to the 3D era just to feel like I'm playing a GTA game and not a soulless mess. Give us something with some creative integrity, please. Good, fleshed out characters, instead of constant dick jokes and...whatever the Hell Trevor was supposed to be.

For real. Sometimes the discussions here are f*cking insane - you can tell everyone's bored to bits.
