Very exciting to see that they will expand Online with multiple instanced cities, which plausibly will be Los Santos and Liberty City for starters. Even if not remastering GTA4 (plot, characters, etc) it's been proven to easily remaster the building assets.  People wish-listing future cities won't understand the granular detail Rockstar has required in the past (of which there are many articles available from GTAV launch).

Broward County is one of the locations of a rockstar scouting service they used

i would play the f*ck out of a bonnie and claude dynamic. only thing im curious about is how the continuous updates work. as long as SP feels complete like RDR2, I dont care what they do with online. (though im excited for online too)

I'm a male, to answer your original question. And I'm looking forward to playing as a female character. It could bring a whole different dynamic to the game, especially with the protagonists being like Bonnie & Clyde. So, there's still a male character for all those alpha-males.

 

And when I'll get online, I will also create both a male and a female character, just like I did in V.

Well, it's a ripe story telling peg if they wish to use it. Do they have to? Nope. Do I need it in the game? Nope. Does have Miami have a storied history with Cuba? Yep.

Well, if you don't update, probably the world that was there during release. If you update, you'll see the latest world.

Imagine calling a game that you haven't even seen yet, a disaster. 

 

And this whole labeling anything that you don't like or anything that makes you feel uncomfortable as woke will definitely be on the dart board for Rockstar. I hope they touch on how the meaning of the word when relating to social issues has been hijacked in politics.

I actually like the sound of gta 6. I hope theres a male protagonist to.  The only think I didnt like is that there going to turn down the jokes.

I'm fine with a female protagonist to be honest, as long as the game is set in modern days.

The only way I can see them doing SP is a chapter system and releasing new parts of the map like a TV show releases new episodes/seasons. But it seems like we might not be able to complete the whole story on release.

It's not like female protags can't work in a game with shootouts. Max Payne 2 worked just as well with Mona as it did with Max.

Actually I like that a lot, I hate GTA 5 making fun of everything and almost not having a serious moment.

I just can´t identify myself playing with a female char that´s all. I guess you will have more fun to play the game as me then.

My Red Dead Online character is a woman and I've played other games with a woman character, do you really need to identify completely with the character you're playing with? It's not an RPG. Not to mention... as a guy you can still identify with the ideals of a woman protagonist, it doesn't threaten your "masculinity"* to do so

There are going to be races in Cayo, release date unknown. Just an interesting fun comment, it's probably nothing, but y'know.

Female playable character? Cool. Rockstar destroying its culture in order to appeal to modern sensibilities and unrealistic "no crunch" policies that result in no new GTA for a decade and most likely a final product that's all over the place in quality and tech? Sucks.

I nearly always play a game with a female protag if I have a choice.  Even since I discovered I could effectively play Fallout 2 and totally change how the game itself reacted to a female, by making a few simple character choices, I've always been interested in how playing as a female changes the game.

Agreed. GTA V vs GTA IV's satire definitely felt more over the top Saints Row kinda juvenile-ish.  The ongoing governor campaign was actually funny and on the nose, but the facebook stuff was pretty lame and could have been better. "Har har i out my private in the computer har har". The oppressor kids must love it though.
