honestly rockstar got lucky here cuz they could've gotten hacked close to release and major spoilers / gameplay would have leaked from a better build of the game . Now atleast they will beed up there cyber security to a solid point before GTAVI .

I'm wondering how the hell he got into Rockstar's internal network because if you're working at top secret projects then some username and password is not even close to be enough. ITSec guys at Rockstar are probably also not bunch of fools and they know what they are doing.

it's just that modern world ,and that big corporations such as r* aren't easiest to control. It's more surprising it didn't happen earlier cause big corpos like Rockstar are easier to leak stuff from than small ones

I keep thinking how difficult an announcement must be this year, because if you stop to analyze R* at the beginning of the year he revealed that he is working on the game, this was a way to calm all those who were in doubt if GTA6 was being produced or not. so it wouldn't make much sense to have a trailer now at the end of the year, since in February they said they are working on the game.

Hopefully the GTA VI cover will be the same as in the previous Tile-style.

 

 

A cover showing only 2 protagonist as in the premium version of GTA V would be boring in my opinion.

GTA IV was announced in Spring 2007 and was supposed to come out by the end of that year in Fall, but was pushed back to Spring 2008.

 

GTA V was announced in 2011 and while the game didn't have any release dates at first, it eventually was planned to come out in Spring 2013, but was delayed to Fall 2013.

 

RDR2 was announced in Fall 2016, and planned to release in Fall 2017, only for the game to be delayed once to Spring 2018, and then a second time to Fall 2018.

 

One pattern I notice here is that Rockstar Games seems to try to announce their games around 6 months before their release. That's until they end up having to delay the game another 6 months or a year.

Sadly Stephen Bliss is no longer at Rockstar to make it Passion for art and imagination he has are simply out of this world.

I don't think they'll wait another year or a half to announce GTA VI. Many leaks happened in 2022 and more to come if they'll keep silence. Next month is a perfect time

The hackers breached into Slack's servers which is a platform that is used a lot lately for people that work from home. The how isn't clear yet but it's safe to assume they just baited someone and stole their credential and accessed their chats where they shared the videos... it's their MO as far as I understand
So no, they didn't breach Rockstar's own server

The new Rockstar artists are also good, plus those box arts are made of a bunch of complete artworks which are cut to fit together in the box art like that, so we'll certainly have the classic GTA box art with the helicopter on the top and all that stuff.

I think Q1 2023 is out of question. It's either this last quarter or Q4 2023.

Still, it shouldn't be enough if Slack would be properly configured, someone would have to literally steal/take control over device of the person that have access to that specific workspace.

It absolutely will be. Even the latest GTAO standalone cover art maintained the exact same format, helicopter in the top left too

I agree & to be honest that leak only confirmed what was already leaked to the public for years looking back in hindsight or was simply speculated by most of us anyway

There's two others as I saw from a quora post.

 

Anthony Macbain and Roxie Vizcarra. They might be the ones who do the cover but don't know if they also still work there.

 

can I be the one who makes a cover art?

Red Dead Redemption 2's artworks and cover art were made by Roxie Vizcarra and they still retain that classic look.
