GTAV's gameplay was never leaked until after we've seen official gameplay from Rockstar themselves, very close to the release.

 

I think one of the very first leaked videos of GTAV was of Franklin driving his Buffalo near his place in the hood, either that one or the one with the police chase up in the desert.

 

As for the physics, people only started whining after they got their hands on the game.

The wording on the recent post regarding the leaks makes me think they aren't planning to reveal the game this year, I think they would have said "soon" rather than "when we are ready" if it was that close, the latter implies they are still not satisfied with the product to showcase it yet, they could even drag the reveal a little further until the converersation about the leak has calmed down a little bit.

 

But then again, with the recent leak itself, I feel like they might have to reveal it to show the actual state of the game, especially with the stupid claims being thrown around.

 

I've changed my opinion about the release date so many times in the span of 2 weeks lol

they will announce it when they’re ready, could be this month, could be next month. You’re probably right they aren’t satisfied enough to announce it yet but it definitely will be announced in the next few months

Yeah I can see them wanting to distance themselves from the leaks, question is, is one month from now enough? Guess we'll see. I doubt a few whining kids on Twitter will force their hand though, once the trailer drops everyone will be back on board anyway, so they can do whatever they want.

I really don’t think rockstar are assed. They get backlash all the time and don’t give a f*ck

And for kiddos to slag a rockstar game off in development are funny. When rockstar release the 6 trailer they will be kissing their ass again

They said the leaks are not going to impact development or their plans for release and I'm inclined to believe that. Whether they release an announcement, teaser, trailer or logo next month or not, I'm sure whatever it is that would have always been the original plan anyway.

 

of course that's not going to stop half the internet assuming that whatever happens now from R* is wholly down to what happened with the leaks

They specifically said no long term effects on development, so it's essentially a generic PR reponse, leaving room for possible short term to no effects, and who knows how they even define short term and long term.

The newswire said to stay tuned for more news in the coming months in July, and they'd "update everyone again soon" in September. That surely indicates some kind of reveal in October - December...

During the RDR2 pre-release days, their definition of "soon" often was nearly a year.

 

While I think an October reveal could happen, we really have no idea.

Because, as someone said, North Yankton is just a street with few buildings and one interior, they cannot add North Yankton because it is technically empty and there's nothing else to do on it, if Rockstar want to add North Yankton into GTA Online, they have to either build it from scratch or work on the existing map to fit for free mode, but probably Rockstar won't do that because they see no point and waste resources for it, but I dunno, just guess, but I bet others have better ideas of such, who knows, so yeah

Hi all,

 

I don't understand why some people so concerned about GTAVI graphics. For me, it least concerning aspect of the game. RDR2 graphics is fine even for today. More important are story, lore, characters, gameplay, living breathing open world. Otherwise, I am disappointment with modern setting. 80's was so cool, Rockstar had plenty references from Miami Vice.

I love to see a Floridaman Easter Egg in GTA6, he should be hard to kill and an ungodly levels of strong and such, just as a reference of the meme 

 

But, I do hope GTA6 has lots and lots of easter eggs upon the release, from the Skunk ape/bigfoot Easter eggs, to aliens all the way to movie and entertainment references like Bad Boys, Miami Vice, 2 Fast 2 Furious and so on, so yeah

GTA V was worse. aside from a handful of screenshots in summer 2012, we practically went a year after the announcement before we heard anything.

Rockstar are more than capable of releasing a reveal trailer now and then a gameplay trailer in like 2 years. I think “when it is ready” basically means “we already have a release schedule and we’re not changing it so STFU and you’ll get the trailer soon you impatient pests”

Oh, there's no doubt of that.

GTA V Reveal trailer was 2011, gameplay trailer in 2013.

RDR2 reveal trailer was 2016, gameplay trailer in 2018.

Well it's not because it is not set in the 80's that you can't reference it, i mean you're the one talking about Miami Vice which is from the 80's while being in the 2020's so why R* couldn't do the same

First trailer will probably be Fall 2023 or Spring 2024, and afterwards a delay to Fall 2024 which should hopefully be the final release date.

 

inb4 the trailer comes out and all we see at the end is Fall 2025
