That quote is stupid (not sure if he even really said that tbh), but I've seen people reposting it a sh*tton of times back then to the point where it became a circlejerk meme. The quote isn't even right, because plenty of games that had a rough launch are now excellent (No Man's Sky, Cyberpunk 2077 is actually decent now...).

Yes I am going through it right now. The game is referencing 10 protagonists and it appears they scrapped Lucia and Jason because there's no mentions of them in the story. There are also mentions of realistic steak rendering technology which is pretty cool I guess.

Actually, I just remembered that in one of the videos, he shows a private conversation with someone, he asks if there is any city in Brazil and that person responds saying that he hasn't seen cities that look like Brazil, but he doesn't say much information about who it or something. It seems to be someone who worked or works there, this youtuber has already said a few things in the private group, but "I can't talk much about it".

But because of the size of R*, I keep thinking, how many employees haven't said something to random people and these people said something on the internet, but no one believed it or sometimes this information was not propagated, it's the kind of thing that they only have to prove after the game comes out or like this one that only had a way to prove it after all this information was leaked

That quote is just stupid, cyberpunk was announced way too early. The day companies understand it is about the correct timing for announcement, and not delaying the game 5 times, maybe they could start releasing better games.

...and yet, GTA VI is still not ready. 

 

Maybe GTAO's success is giving them more time to develop GTA VI, maybe not, idk, either way, the reality is, they clearly do not feel GTA VI is ready to show just yet and that's that.

This SanInPlay guy gets on my nerves with his clickbait videos, so any true info he got about the game he can keep it for himself.

blablabla thing we heard a million times now, even though games nowadays take far longer to make because they aim for realism. 10 year old game but if people still play it, they will update it, also it is GTA Online which might be connected at some point with VI.

 

These 10 year olds think games are done in a few days.

 

 

and don't tell me about ubisoft, they have around 25,000 employees, and they still take 4-5 years to develop them, sometimes less since they're copypasted. Rockstar has only around 2,000.

I might get hate for this but, people should be glad they are milking GTAO. It has given them tons of money and the publishers probably aren't constantly pushing them to get the next thing out. Yeah, we would've probably gotten RDR2 way sooner, and GTA6 by now, but they would 100% be not the games they are now (or are going to be in GTA6's case).

Yeah maybe, but with the money they have they should hire more people to work there. But I don't know why they don't, they prefer being less I guess..?? Idk

We have got tons of information on GTA VI (yes, in-development stuff which we cannot be sure about will actually end up in the retail version of the game) which we would have otherwise not have/discuss within a year from the initial reveal so I think at this point we can agree that a few more weeks of waiting for Rockstar's reveal/teaser trailer won't hurt anyone, right?

I think it'll happen in around four weeks time ligning up to Vice City's 20th Anniversary ... we'll see.

Oh, I understand. I just hope those leaks haven’t been spreading even before they got shared here. It’ll mean that the situation is a bit more serious.

I see that's great, I would have liked  to work there too as environment/artwork concept artist, game company doesn't matter who, but don't have a degree yet besides there's far more talented older people than me

If you’re talking about the fact that the game was originally meant to be released in 2017, I wouldn’t really treat that as a “delay”. Sure, they had more time to polish the game, but as of now, it’s kinda usual for them to delay a game a year after. Doesn’t really bother me anymore. They’ll do the same thing with VI 100%.

even though rdr2 is not a rushed game, they also crunched their employees during rdr2 dev despite gta online was running as a printing money machine. So they were pushed in some way to get the game out as soon as posible
