Wonder if they'll have a thing where they have evidence of you committing a crime, and you get a crimestat for it (seperate fromt he normal wanted system, and closer to RDR2's wanted system). Maybe you have to go and either breach a police station or bribe a police officer, or deal with being hunted by police

I think being hunted by police will be a big thing in VI. And limiting you being caught/leaving evidence will drastically affect your gameplay.

This one is from iFruit Radio iirc. Like all the other songs we can hear, those are just placeholders, picked up from previous GTA games to test the audio in the environment.

After seeing the state of the game in the latest dated file, wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t get to play it until 2025. I think we will get a tease in October, then a trailer in Q3 2023.

All the GTA games are corny in their own right, it's about how they handle it.

I think 5 gave us the best analogy for it with Michael's rant on movies, surprisingly. The older GTA games were those fun cheesy action romps from the 80's and 90's. I won't speak on 4 because I don't think I could give it a fair opinion. Five however? Modern day cheesy action movie. Too much of the budget went on effects rather than the writing. The quips/writing just sucks, and the plot is as tired and well worn as a Vinewood sex worker.

To me that rant almost felt like one of the writers was venting on how they've had to change but hey I could be reading too much into it.

The game looks pretty solid in the 9/12/22 clip of Jason. It may be more put together than these clips let on. I'm still sure of a 2024 release.

My thought about this whole mess is that I don’t think it is a much of a problem, if we look back at previous titles, GTAV alpha got leaked, and those source code bullsh*t, is likely fake, just to get attention and money from rockstar.

They could polish up the most recent versions of the game enough for a trailer, honestly. Might have to push up the art team for some models but they definitely could script some nice trailer shots based off what we've seen in the more recent clips.

I couldn't really tell if the part that says it's recording is a debug element or gameplay

Models and textures feel far too refined for them to be placeholders. Not to mention it already appears they've got voice actors in. R* has precedence for scrapping a VA if they don't feel they fit (see: Bully and Jimmy) but I don't think they'd do it here.

If they aren't playable in the final build, they'll probably end up being in the primary cast outside of the player characters. There's just too much going to waste there.

It's on multiple CCTV cameras so it has to be gameplay. And it looks like they're highlighted by actual gameplay and not the debug.

Yeah, and if we look all the way back to V's first trailer: it was released in 2011, the game wasn't even close to being finished, still the game looked pretty nice. I believe at this time Blaine County wasn't even fully mapped, which is why we don't really see much of it in the trailer. I'm sure the most recent build that Rockstar have at the moment contain a good part of the map almost finished (the city probably?) so I wouldn't be surprised if we get a trailer in early 2023.

We can argue that it won’t be a remake of VC’s rags to riches story in the sense that it won’t be done ala Scarface or Miami Vice, but if it is a rags-to-riches story, I am curious to see what they’ll take inspiration from
