Ten years. Ten years for a glimpse of another present day game. For V Mk II. I'm still hyped for anything GTA related ofc, I'm a longtime diehard fan, but boy is it a tough pill to swallow. With the rate they're developing and releasing games, there won't be another period piece and you gotta be on crack to think Northern San Andreas or literally anywhere that's not LA, NY, or Miami is a possibility anytime soon. 

Loving the protagonist though, if she's not an Online character placeholder. At least there's something fresh about the game. I'm out of the loop on the news today, but I doubt she's a placeholder with all that dialog and the relatively detailed model.

This would've been a hell of a lot more exciting in 2016, and sadly it'll probably still be a step forward for the severely stagnant open world crime genre.

Well that was unexpected. I wasn't not expecting more leaks but what is essentially an hour of dev footage was certainly not on the bingo card.

Stood out to me as well. The v1 clothing physics in RDR1 were fantastic, really glad to see them continue with it. One of those little details that just really, really adds a lot.

Am I the only one optimistic about how the game looks? It isn't up to par with RDR2 yet but the leaked footage does already look better than current gta v to me.

Will comment here that it's a bit calmer.... The PS4 stuff doesn't mean much because the footage spans literal years, that build might be dropped as far as we know for ages now. I have no words for everything I've seen thus far, earlier or more recent builds, especially the latter, all look great.

 

Also, do remember we have a B&M topic although well... This is flood day  Twitter guy should delete his account now that the game has leaked.

 

 

And... it's perfectly fine to feel bad for the devs. This is a catastrophic leak honestly, as much as I am a fan and hyped to see the game.

The game looks incredible but I don't think most people grasp that this is in-development footage and the game is far from finished. All R* games looked a lot better in their final version.

Anyone criticizing the unfinished game's visuals should probably take a look at these screenshots of GTAV when it was still under development.

If anything since most people have been crying “damage control” all year regarding the 2 acknowledgements, Rockstar should really do some damage control now and keep the possible October plans for an announcement, capitalize off the situation and hype from the majority of folks at the moment and just deal with the BS behind the scenes along the way , wishful thinking of course but still a thought

It's not about the the unfinished mechanics, but the lead characters. For me, a generic modern female character with sociopathic personality it just doesn't click. Robbing a store or doing a heist with a low skirt and heels... I hope you will have a blast with this game man.

It certainly doesn't look bad at all, no. Lighting/shadows are obviously not all there at all and the asset quality is all over the place - as you'd expect - but those and sh*tty video quality aside there's modern games that look worse. One just released last month.
