Although I know those are just testing builds, I still feel kinda disappointed. 
It's like, GTA 6 has stayed secret for years, and now I know the characters, combat, vehicles and part of the street scenes in advance. 

If the leak is true, the freshness I felt about this unreleased game will be gone.

I'm on your same boat. I don't know if it was actually leaked, but given the huge amount of footage we have just seen, it's not unlikely that the code was also leaked.

It’s good to finally see the game but it seems to be years away and so generic it feels like a GTA clone from another company.

 

Also PS4 builds still being used? C’mon! 
it should be fully next-gen

Where they thinking they could release it 2 years ago? They will be lucky if they release it in 2024 at this point lmao.

slack was hacked, this is where he found the debugging videos and surely he has found some code snippet too.
 

Getting the full source code would mean he also has the game, that would make it as bad as the 2003 Half Life 2 leak.

what are you even talking about.

the ps4 build is the earliest dated leak, most others are on PC. 

 

This is early dev footage in engine, most of it looks like FIVEM to me but if you actually watch the footage you get a great sense of the direction and evolution from GTA V. 

Early screenshots of GTA V from environment artists looked identical to GTA IV with a new larger open environment. Now this looks like GTA V with increased interaction and density. 

 

the conclusions you have come to are unfair because all you have seen is its core gameplay systems... so yes it looks like a gta game.

None of the footage shown any piece of the game in semi finished state, lots of placeholders and unrefined items everywhere, especially world building.

We are supposed to get a big map and this is not looking like a game that could be released in 1 year.

GTAV had a trailer showing release ready assets of most of the map 2 years before release.

 

How old are these videos? And why are would we be seeing super old videos if he has access to slack? (Newest videos are the first one to be found)

Regarding the announcement it’s up to them, they can anticipate or postpone due to the leak, I would anticipate it if the trailer is ready.
