Neither Michael and Trevor should appear in GTA 6 because of the possible ending choice the player can take, I don't care if GTA Online says Ending C is canon, if a game gives me choices there's no such thing as canon choices, there's my choice and other players choices.

canonically all three characters stay alive.

Rockstar themselves kinda confirmed that C is canon... with an artwork... that was released... about two years before the game came out.

 

 

For the record though, Michael to me is the best GTA protagonist by far yet I still don't want to see him in the next game, give me something new.

with Diamond Casino and resort's release it was pretty much confirmed C is the canon ending, bcz Tao Cheng mentions that he was almost killed by the explosions which was caused by Franklin in ''The Third Way''

To serve GTA Online updates interests Rockstar acts like Ending C is canon, but I'd like them to act like any of the three endings can be canon with GTA 6, if I already killed him in GTA 5, why do I need to kill him or even just see him again in GTA 6? Is he some kind of demon or something?

I agree, but a lot of players thinks Ending A is the best one and their choices should be respected.

Oh yeah like I mentioned in my previous comment, I don't want to see any of the trio in GTAVI, no matter what my opinion about them or which ending I think is canon, I want something new.

That's why I'm not a fan of big choices like that in series such as GTA. Minor choices are okay but not the ones where you choose if want you want to kill the protagonist and if so which one.

This. The last few big updates have been more "grounded" and with The Contract we saw what happened to Franklin after GTA V's story. Honestly, since Franklin is the only character that canonically cannot die in GTA V, and he's the only one so far that has an entire update based around his business after GTA V SP, I feel like we are going to see him in GTA VI again.

 

Either way, even if we don't see Franklin, I think we're definitely gonna be seeing one of the GTA V protagonists in GTA VI in some way.

I think Rockstar learned their lesson with RDR2, Arthur dies regardless of being because of the tuberculosis or being killed by Micah, it's up to you how he dies.

If GTA 6 is set before GTA 5's events, then there is no problem about that, but not the other way around.

well that's like the gta IV case where the ending you choose is canon but the option A and B in V was just made in like when the game was near release lol? B doesn't make that much of a sense and speaking of protagonist cameos it will def never happen just like every other gta title except claude and Johnny (you can add Vic and Toni too but they were planned later) because every GTA is a reboot/remix of it's predecessor with a brand new story , plot , protagonist , characters etc but with same lore and in same world/universe they make it look like it's connected but they avoid making the titles look like sequels / prequels which is why every other protagonist is already considered dead by R*, ''There's no second time'' - Sam Houser to Ray Liotta

Zynga has been developing Star Wars for a good while now, I don't think it's related whatsoever. It's gonna be a mobile game and the deal was struck before Zynga was absorbed into T2. R* would have nothing to do with anything there.

Rockstar kinda broke this tradition with RDR2, John became a playable character for a second time, I won't even consider Max Payne because the two previous games weren't made by them.

Using the Wayback Machine, it seems that he has been with Rockstar since 2017, there are no previous records because the most recent is from 2011 and it does not appear there R*.

Well, at this point it's very clear that Rockstar will treat Ending C as the canon ending. Makes sense to me, honesty, since it's the only ending that ties up all the loose threads in the campaign, unlike the other two, which are partially unfinished.

 

RDR2 is a very different case since it was a prequel. It would've been extremely difficult for Rockstar to justify why no one mentions Arthur in RDR1 if they ended his arc without him dying (or getting incarcerated).

because rdr2 was a prequel to rdr / heavily related to rdr and every gta title is not related to it's predecessor or successor but somehow connected bcz of same game worlds , i believe R* Vienna worked on mp1 and 2's conceptual development too alongside ports but i have no sources to confirm

I know it's the only one which ties up all the loose ends and I don't really mind if it all happens in the same mission, that's why it's also my favorite one.

His name doesn't appear in V or IV's credits. But this stuff is pretty old, both were in 2017. It's not impossible he's done some artwork for VI but I'm gonna guess what he did was for GTAO.

 

Edit: Exploring his socials, he IS from Orlando. So maybe R* tapped into some local artists.

Well, perhaps GTA 6 is more connected to GTA 5 than you think this time around, imagine if it's the middle setting between GTA 4 and GTA 5? Set in 2010 more or less.
