I really don't see the downside to having a female protag, it opens up a whole other type of play style and story telling R* has never explored before.

What I do genuinely dislike (and always have) are the early high-end apartment interiors in GTAO. I really hope that in GTAO2 we get to chose from different interior styles from the beginning, if not a Sims-lite-like interior customization.

 

The ammunations

The 7/11 stores you can rob

The three garages that can be owned by the protagonists

The clothing stores

 

All copy and pasted.

 

Outside of that there isn't really much interiors to loo at aside from the safe houses.

Haven't you seen all the other franchises that are doing poorly because they have female leads? Tomb Raider, Horizon, Control, TLOU2... they are all failing because womans bad

September 2024, less than a month away from the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Some leaked gameplay videos are popping up and everyone is trying to download & watch them before they get taken down. As always, the person playing in the leaked videos is f*cking terrible at the game. Everyone is pointing out the smallest possible mistakes or bugs they see in the leaked videos and express their concerns for the game (similar to the way people complained that the bow on Arthur's back was clipping through his hat).

 

The fun times are yet to come, we're only in the prologue now.

US wages. Median UK wages are like £25,000. So there’s probably a lot of employees in Edinburgh at North in the 30-35k region. It’s fairly normal. For the most part you halve the US wage and that's approximately the UK wage.

Yeah, I have a feeling she doesn't understand how huge the GTA franchise is. I mean, she probably knows it's very popular, but probably not to the point where she'd get bombarded by thousands of kids (and immature adults) asking her if she's in the next game, if she knows anything about it, etc. Must be a ton of pressure, especially when you gotta make sure not to say anything wrong that might break your NDA.

 

Well, whatever, at least the bad part of GTA's community is the annoying kids stalking actors for information on new games. We could've ended up like The Last of Us haters who are angry that a literal 14-year old girl in a remake is not "cute enough"

Regarding this actor, we always thought she would be the protagonist for story mode, but have we ever thought that it could be online's main character? You select between male or female, you get the gist. Would be Rockstar trying something new but we saw it happen from GTA 3 -> Vice City. Idk

What are your predictions for GTA 6 police?

What will they change from 5? I personally think they will make it like RD2 where the police only look for you if someone has witnessed a dead body or seen you commit a crime. I think the police will try to arrest you before shooting you first and once arrested either bribe police officer or escape your way out of jail.

As with all games with mtx, the real big spenders (the whales, the ones they rely on every update) are all adults. You'd be disgusted at what adults spend on Fortnite, they treat the shop like a collectathon.

 

Though Fortnite is not really for kids. It's all ages, sure, but it's a genre whose popularity originated on PC within more relatively niche games like Arma which is largely played by adults - Fortnite was Epic repurposing the original Fortnite (now named Fortnite: Save The World) into a BR to try and get in early on the craze and get it on console... which went well for them, lol. Epic actually got sued by PUBG because they alledged that Epic used or took advantage (or something or other) of the work the PUBG devs did with Epic to improve UE4 for a BR scale shooter, lol. But yea, it was sort of a lucky accident that it become hugely popular with kids.

You may or may not recall the discussions about the technical side behind GTAV's E&E of how it uses RDR2's graphics pipeline, SGA.

 

SGA is basically a physically based rendering graphics pipeline. It's an industry-standard for most AAA games nowadays. PBR is a set of rules to follow when making textures and materials and the point is to make them look good under any lighting condition. Albeit, GTAV would have probably looked much better if Rockstar went and remade all the textures.

 

What's new with E&E is that Rockstar's rendering pipeline supports ray-tracing to a limited extent (shadows & AO), but VI will most likely use it to the full extent.
