GTA 6 Speculation & Discussion [Part 7] - The one with the announcement

Recommended Posts

An actor working for Ubisoft, a company at probably the lowest it's ever been in a long time if not ever, conveniently lets loose the fact that Ubisoft is making a Blade game.

Either that actor has somehow stumbled his way onto set and doesn't know something every actor knows which is you can't just leak sh*t like that, or Ubi are being coy to farm some good press.

What I do now is replay the GTA Trilogy (I use the Definitive Edition because I just f*cking say it now ... bar some annoying bugs and glitches it is the best way to play these games in 2022 in my opinion!) ... currently over 50% on San Andreas and around 40% in Vice City. I will tackle 3 last but so far I'm having such a blast with San Andreas again. I legit forgot how diverse and fun most of the missions in San Andreas are.

Also I'm thinking of buying Cyberpunk 2077 but rumors say there will be a reboot, like 1.8 update releasing early next year which adds a third-person view and fixes all the remaining bugs and adds new stuff as well so I might wait for that update before I grab it.

Other than that I plan to buy the The Last of Us Remake for PC (hopefully it releases this year!) and I hope Part 2 is also coming to the PC rather soon than late. I played through both games on PS4 but want to experience them again on PC hardware!

And October should be fun if we indeed get a first look at Grand Theft Auto VI (I think we will).

February is Hogwarts Legacy time and I can't f*cking wait for that game. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint and isn't a glitchfest!

I played Uncharted 4 for the first time ever today on my friend's house as I don't have a PlayStation 4, I played it until Chapter 7 I think and I had a blast playing it, it's such a cool game and it still looks great 6 years later.

Based on previous experience, you haven't seen a thing :p It'll be even tougher when we do have info, but then we may have to wait nearly a full year for more info, a year that feels like 3 years. And people will get very mad about the wait, oh, *extraordinarily* mad. (e.g. GTA V)

I been here waiting for both GTA 5 and RDR2 back in the day, I probably had a different account when I still was a kid lol. I still remember the fake GTA 5 leaks such as this one.

Looks like it's worth checking out the good old GTA forums again. It has been a while! Hope R* will finally drop some Information "within the next few months or so". 2024 release is my guess.

After today I guess we'll probably hear about how development is going well with the next installment AGAIN soon.

They've used this twice and it worked, can't go wrong with that one.

When/if you finish it, Lost Legacy is also awesome.  Uncharted 4, Lost Legacy and The Last of Us Part II all look absolutely amazing considering they were made for the base PS4.  I think that aside from Rockstar Games, Naughty Dog is the other studio that I'm most excited to see what they can do when they're making a game strictly for the current gen hardware.

Uncharted 4 is a top five game all time for me. Personally I think it's Naughty Dog's best. Glad you could try it!

It's crazy that Rockstar just has to tweet "6/VI" and it will be enough to make the entire internet go insane.

Honestly, I don't think so at this stage.

They've confirmed the game, we're assuming it will either be GTA 6 or GTAVI, probably GTAVI.

So if they say, tweeted "VI" , or change the logo to pink, really, we're not learning anything we don't already know.

It's going to take a little bit more I think, location reveal, screenshot, something a bit more than yes we're confirming we're making GTA6 for the 3rd time.

The game literally goes on trending every other week at this point for absolutely no reason sometimes.

You really think them acknowledging the name with a hashtag or changing their social media headers to reflect the game's setting isn't going to break the internet ? Come on now lol.

They need to tell us something we don't already know for it to really blow up imo.

One of the things I’m quite looking forward to seeing is the fighting mechanics. I’d really love something along the lines of this where perhaps holding L1/LB engages you into a brawling stance where you can land clean shots and isn’t action movie-esque like in V.

V and RDR2 I feel had incredibly clunky, heavy fighting mechanics that felt so scripted and offered hardly anything in terms of freedom. Just one of the many things that took a step back from where GTA IV was at.

RIGHT FOR ONCE

Folks, it’s not worth fretting over.  A GTA6 reveal in October is a forgone conclusion.  You have the silver anniversary of the franchise and the twentieth anniversary of Vice City.

Not even the New York Knicks could f*ck up a lay-up shot like that.

Like the entirety of the game? I have no clue where some of your takes are coming from :sadkek: The meat of the announcement is obviously the trailer, and extra details on the setting etc. We know 0 about GTA VI.

The internet nearly exploded with the tiniest of acknowledgements about the game's development. It will break with a proper reveal, this is likely the most anticipated game in history atm and having actual details (which we don't...) is gonna do it just like it did for GTA V.

The funny aspect of 'knowing things' is that historically it has all gone out the window when they actually show us the game.

And then watch them f*ck it up.
