Nah, RPGs=/=Open world action games. There's room for both. I doubt Rockstar would ever make a game that is a full on RPG, as much as I'd love to see it.

Nah I know they're not comparable gameplay-wise but given the state in which Cyberpunk released and how much crap CDPR got over it, if Rockstar did a Cyberpunk world and it was amazing, I have a feeling the gaming community would just start shooting CDPR all over the place.

On a separate note, does anyone remember the first time they loaded into GTA 5 and explored the map?

I recall stealing a car and driving up the east coast to Paleto Bay. Was wild.

 

The first time I load into GTA 6, I'm just gonna explore the map. 

Maybe not pay any attention to the minimap, just drive around and try to take it all in. Magic!

In a way it was also magical with GTA 5... until I realized that the map was practically a beautiful empty shell

I remember it and I thought wtf is this map (I also remember having seen the map leaked from the strategy guide a couple days before release and this was the first time where I was like, hm ... ok but this clearly isn't showing everything, RIGHT?!)? Is there something I'm missing or why is it so bad? GTAV's map is the worst map of any GTA game and you cannot tell me otherwise.

It completely lacks interactivity from previous GTA games and Blaine County is a f*cking waste of space.

This is not meant to be GTAV bashing but I cannot say it often enough how f*cking bad GTAV's map is and I suppose lots agree with me here.

I don't know if this makes a lot of sense, but it gives me the impression that 5 should be a PS4 and Xbox One game originally for them to deliver everything they promised. The limitations we have in terms of physics, few interactions, details that they had in the previous game that didn't return to 5... A very ambitious game made for consoles that couldn't handle it all

I ordered the game by mail, it arrived about 2 hours before I had to leave for school, took 30 mins to install, spent 1 hour before school playing the game as much as I can like I was never going to play it again haha. You can guess how long that day at school felt . After school I was just trying out different cheats, and trying to find some places from GTA San Andreas that looked the same.

 

With RDR2, I played through the first chapter, and as soon as I unlocked free-roam, took the first train to Saint Denis and explored the city since that's what interested me the most, all that pre-release talk of a "big city" with lots of cool places... spent a lot of time exploring the map before going through the story.

 

With GTA VI I'll probably do the same, play through the first few necessary missions and then explore a bit of the map, but not too much of it so I don't spoil it for the story

I stole a car and went along the western highway up to paleto, all the way down, I vaguely remember my first impression of coming down the highway past uTool seeing the overpass near the prison, it felt so much more grand than it does now lol, can't wait for the first impression of VI's map

I can remember those buildings and mount chilliad looked huge but now they look so tiny and the best sunset I have ever seen in any game.
