Wait until you find out you won’t play the game for at least another two years from now , that’s the real hard part lol

If GTA V's pre-release and info droughts were already bad in these parts, I am not looking forward to people's reactions, especially those who have never gone through a Rockstar pre-release period, when we're extended periods of time without info :sadkek: Been this way with GTA IV, RDR1, Max Payne 3 ("Winter 2009"), GTA V, RDR2 (but a bit less so)...

Unless they change their strategy of course but even RDR2 had some drought periods. And people making graphics about the "RDR2 Info Drought" :kekw:

Gta is the hottest videogame franchise of all time.

Announcing it via UFO events sounds... Niche.

A pic with a timer for trailer drop is the best they can do.

That's why i kinda disagree with @Tez2 on that one.

Why limit the reveal?

Rockstar can literally do whatever they want and it will regardless generate a lot of hype.

Did you forget that this very website lost it's mind over Rockstar's website going through maintenance? (Probably multiple times in the past as well?)

There is a benefit in doing it like this cause they could generate hype before the announcement and then have their game be the main topic for at least few days. The best way to sell your product is to get people talking about it after all.

The implication is that they would make a normal announcement during that event IF it were to even happen, not that they'd make it in-game. That said they could literally drop it in-game only and the internet would explode just as much, don't underestimate how big GTA Online is. :p

It would be very R* to have a mystery hunt attached to a game announcement.

Maybe that GTA VI teaser (or mistery hunt) is already on the files but has gone unnoticed...

Just like back in 2017 with the 600th bunker resupply mission.

Misc.

Nah, that would have been found by now. Folks like the Game File Gurus (Chiliad Mystery etc) have already unlocked the new events and explored them.

How did Tez find some UFO-related stuff happening on October 23rd?

I remember reading back then that the gunrunning secret mission was separated into small fragments of code, so nobody noticed it until a player unlocked it by playing.

I can't remember the source though, false info I guess.

Well the UFO's start on a set date, and each phase is known to last I believe 3? days? (not sure if it's 3 days or a week, but same as last year), so it's just quicc maffs really.

Hmmm I remember something like that, it being hidden in the code, with allegedly even dev commentary because they knew people would dig, but for the Beast from the Freemode Events, not the UFO Gunrunning mission.

Those of us who've been around have been expecting that for years. Since 2017/18, for me at least. It's gonna be great! :prismkek:

I tried to say that this thing might be related to GTAO files.

I think Tez knows what he's talking about. The mans been doing this for years now, and I don't think there was a time when he was wrong. Then again, I might be wrong about that, haven't given it much thought

So could that house most likely be in GTA 6 now?

I've been saying this for a while now, but I'm betting that house pic is totally some kinda conceptual artwork for GTA6 that was obviously done by a Rockstar dev. Everyone who investigated it pretty much confirmed that the architecture of that house is an extremely common type of house built in the Florida area. But on the flipside, I think people found out that that style of architecture for housing was also pretty common in other parts of the US as well too.

edit: also the clouds looked like volumetric clouds too which made the whole thing even more interesting

double edit: to asnwer your question, maybe we'll see that house in GTA VI? or maybe perhaps one just like it? Hard to say for sure, but it would be pretty freaking awesome to see that house show up in the game so everyone could be like "I KNEW IT!!" lol

"now"

People have been speculating that since day one :kekw: It could very well not be but it's also not far fetched at all. The image looks like it's taken on a game engine, the skybox looks like RAGE's, etc. It could be an edit, but it's a weird picture overall as the house is missing windows and doors as if it were unfinished, etc.

I've only had it in my "VI House" avatar for 9 months now.

I'd think it might be concept art of the in-game house, but if that's not the case, it might have been taken in the alpha or beta of VI and that's why things are missing.

I'm not saying the announcement is definitely gonna happen because a bunch of UFOs will show up on GTA Online.

Rockstar has revealed the first details such as the setting of the last two major games, GTAV & RDR2, in October. So, there's already a high chance that an announcement may occur in October as well.

GTAO's UFO event will occur synchronously alongside the period where we expect a major announcement. And Rockstar teased RDR2's first announcement by tweeting a picture with a red background.

There's no in-game hint towards GTA6 within GTAO files. Rockstar is cautious enough not to do that. But the hint may arrive within the tweet Rockstar will prepare to talk about the UFOs happening on GTAO.

We may receive a tweet like this one from Rockstar, except the newspaper may have a small extra section below suggesting tropical storms in two days or something like that. Thus, hinting at GTA6's announcement.

Spoiler

Imagine the reaction if GTA VI is not Next Gen+PC only :jkek:Old Strauss can't forget the fact that many console players still play with last gen consoles:bruh:

I think at this point we can be assured that GTA VI will be next-gen (PS5, XSX) and PC ONLY and I love it. Anything else would hamper my expectations and excitement for the game to below 0. Can't f*cking stand another GTA held back by ancient hardware as was GTAV.

Ye but why should tropical storms be indicative of GTA VI @Tez2?

Los Santos isn't exactly in a tropical climate...

I'd still like a GTA2 successor.

It seems to be a super unpopular opinion but a GTA set in the future would be... cool. Rockstar would knock it out of the park, as usual.
