You mean like how Rockstar put all of their effort into GTA Online and completely ignore the single player game?  They even go out of their way to stop GTAO assets from bleeding over, they immediately patch it when stuff accidentally does cross over lol

Not really comparable to what people are asking for here. Most stuff that was in the single player was ported over to Online, which some stuff either reduced or removed. The stuff that was added after (which honestly wouldnt be enough for two time periods) is from nearly a decade of development updates. Hence if they did something similar with 6, except all on release, the development time would be way longer.

And I don't see Rockstar trying to make anything like RDR2 in a GTA title after how the community reacted to IV back in 2008, and especially after seeing how ridiculously successful V was even without its online mode.

I feel like success (monetary wise) isnt the only thing R* takes into consideration however. As seen with GTA: T: DE even though it sold well, the general reaction to the games was pretty poor, and so R* (at least from what sources have said) has shelved other remasters. Now GTA Vs story isnt really heralded as much of anything, mostly ranging from memes, people simply saying it was good or people hating it. RDR2 on the other hand, is widely regarded as one of the best video game stories ever made. So with that in mind I can definitely see R* taking its future game stories more seriously even if they arent as deep as RDR2's

I don't believe Rockstar takes RDR2 serious campaign and It slow pace a success and well received since there even were news about how a high percentage of players didn't finish It lol

Thats basically the case for every game ever made. For some reason the average gamer doesnt like completing the things they paid for

Nah, tbh YouTube is pretty f*cked nowadays and videos don’t get around to people. Especially if you’re subscribed. I’d say 5-8m in the first 24

That’s excluding Facebook, twitter and instagram

Guess it depends if YouTube advertise it

Dont forget that the trailer will be shared around by word of mouth + youtubers and journalists

Not for over two years now, and 450K words later (some elsewhere on here, the rest are not....), I'm still going and enjoying it.

Mate... that's a massive underestimation

I just went to the YouTube trending page, this trailer was uploaded 16 hours ago, and has 7.9M views. And I don't even know what it is.

Guess gta 6 trailer will be booming then

Why would they officially state that they're working on it, twice, if they were going to announce it soon anyway? Not happening, maybe next year. Or maybe if we keep pestering them they'll drop a logo, but solid info on the game is still far away at this point.

I don't know why but this GTAO DLC smells like last DLC. I know many people are assuming the same but... this time feels right

I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if all the traffic would cause a site like Twitter to actually crash for like, the 3rd time in history lol

Nah this isn’t the last DLC especially with RDO buried in the ground I expect GTAO support to pick back up full time like the old days after the GTA VI announcement all the way up until launch

So when is everyone thinking we'll see the first ""trailer""? Like, realistically I mean.

Personally I'm thinking, at the earliest, sometime next year. Probably in the second half if their previous first ""trailer""s are anything to go by.

Not sure about "Full Time". It'll defiantly be supported, as the hype for GTA VI brings other players back. But at that point, it's gonna be all hands on deck, working on GTA VI, while trying to avoid crunch. I doubt they'll have the recourses to support GTA Online "Full Time", like that.

Late October, early November, this year.

No I'm pretty sure that's not how it works when you're in the final moments of development lmao

I don't see GTAO getting any major updates before GTA VI's launch, and if it does then I feel like it'll be something like an end celebration DLC or something, to commemorate the launch of the next game, and to help players transition away from the previous era of GTAO to the next era of it.

Honestly, I practically guarantee that Rockstar will implement a means of current GTAO players being able to transition their characters, money, businesses & ect to the new GTAO. Be it through something similar to the Returning Player bonuses that were in the Next Gen versions of GTA V, or through a proper one-way transfer like how it was for old-gen Online players going to next-gen.

Though, I feel like if it's more than just your characters & money being transitioned around launch, then I feel like we'll see something similar to what happened when V (and I think RDR2?) launched where the online mode doesn't ship with the game at launch, and instead comes out a few months later.

Youtube is so damn annoying these days. The videos are constantly interrupted by unskippable ads, like seriously, sometimes I watch a video for five seconds and an ad pops up, then I watch another five seconds and another one interrupts ... then I mostly just quit and do something else.

I remember when Youtube was still ad-free ... good times!

I don’t think so. While GTA 6 has been announced and trailer revealed they won’t stop making content for GTA online until GTA online 2 has been announced

It's in times like this that you can distinguish who uses realistic logic and who uses meme logic

I doubt it gonna be further than this year. Holding out the trailer's release until 23 or 24 will only kill the hype train further. The best time to launch trailer is this year IMO, when the hype from "in development" claim isn't fading yet.

Yes, like me when I say that it is realistic that Bully 2 will release before GTA VI and will be a surprise reveal to everyone this October.

The question is ... will we ever see a protagonist/character as great as Arthur Morgan again, be it in a Rockstar game or any video game?

I remember how most wanted to play as John Marston again after the incredible first Red Dead Redemption and ultimately by the end of RDR2 everyone wanted to keep playing as Arthur Morgan.

It's crazy how great this character is and a huge part of it is due to the impeccable voice acting and motion-acting work from Roger Clark.

God damn is it great to watch Arthur Morgan in every single cutscene, etc. It puts a smile on my face every single time and I cannot stop appreciating the incredible voice-acting and motion-capture-performance alongside the incredible animation work from Rockstar ... amazing job!

Rockstar proved over and over again that you don't need well-known celebs or actors doing voice-acting and motion-capture-work for their videogames ... nah, the best performances come from lesser known people.

Here's to a great protagonist(s) in Grand Theft Auto VI.
