They probably didn't update the credits in the game files. In the game menus, there is a page called "credits and user terms" and contains the link that Zapper sent. We will probably have to wait for that page to update.

I agree with everything else you said, but this I kinda disagree. There's always going to be toxic and vocal minorities regarding this stuff because social media exists now and it gets amplified a bit. If you spend more time in those cesspools, then it might seem like everything is a major issue and people are out there dying cause of this sh*t, but at the end of the day, 99% of the world (and 99% of whoever plays these games or are part of their respective fanbases) do not give a sh*t and just want to have a good time. I have never irl seen anyone say or do any of the extremist bitching generally seen on social media on a regular basis. I can even take GTAV for an example, I personally know around 30 people who play GTAO, like actually know them irl, and not one of them have thrown a fit over anything. They get on the game to have a bit of fun, and if they're not having fun, they just move on to something else they enjoy. I feel like most people are like that, and it's just a small minority that does this.

 

Basically, if you stay outside the cesspools, you won't notice it for the most part, just like back in the pre-social media days where you didn't step into the wastelands like Twitter cause said cesspools didn't exist

just because you can read sheet music one specific way doesnt mean its objective how someone will like it. Music is subjective, thats an objective fact of life. Just because something is more "complicated" doesnt make it immediately better

They haven't updated the credits files since the Doomsday Heist in 2017, not even on current-gen, except for music credits (otherwise music industry would bonk them). This is why people are wanting the new webpage that came with "E&E" to be updated.

No but you can interpret it differently. On paper, it is the same thing everyone reads, or if it's played, it's the same thing everyone hears, but they will react to it differently and have different opinions on it. Just like some people will read this argument and see it as an interesting discussion, while others will see it as irrelevant to the topic of this thread, and a few more will see it as random sh*t flinging from people who are bored. In theory, they're all reading the same set of letters and words, but they interpret it differently. Same with music. While there are loosely objective rules on music (minor key = sad, for example), even these are bendable. At the end of the day, it is subjective. It's about the emotion evoked at the end of the day, and that can differ from person to person based on a wide range of variables.

 

It's all subjective however at the end of the day, it can be good, bad, better or worse based on whatever arbitrary criteria are chosen as the qualifying factors.

I mean, the whole thing falls apart the moment you touch it from any angle lol. It's judging music based on complexity... is complex music the only good music? Has it anaylised all of pop music? All of the chart music? What about the rest? Not all the classics charted well.

I was a kid both before and after 2010. I didn’t become an adult until 2015. It’s more to do with the actual content of the games than the time period they were released. I used the tony hawk games as an example. Most of the later games are generally panned, until we finally got THPS1+2 a couple years ago.

So that Jason article could be a controlled "understatement" from Rockstar. Oh damn, nice, I'm digging that!

What is weird about that Jason article - if it is nothing controlled by Rockstar - is that it is contrary to what Rockstar said in their latest update for GTA Next ... they said something along the lines that they realized that it is more important than ever to go above and beyond with the next GTA to exceed everyones expectations -> would only one main city and surroundings alà GTAV style map really be that? I have my doubts about this and still hope for two or three cities including Vice City, Liberty City and Cuba! Let's go!

i personally would be disappointed if it was only vice city, but hey, what can you do about it, ya know?

I love how a wordvomit fanfic compilation has now become a "Document". They give it such a professional and legitimate title and feel, the way they speak about it. And what's worse, is that when the game is announced and we get more official details, they'll still claim Rockstar are lying, and what "Ima" has claimed is still in the game, but Rockstar are just trying to keep it secret "just to surprise us". And then when the game releases and nothing of what "Ima" "leaked" is even in the game, they'll say it must have been cut or that it's being saved for DLC.

 

They're f*cking insane and I don't know weather to laugh at them or feel sorry for them...

On one hand, you have a highly respected journalist with an extremely solid track record who is almost never wrong. On the other, you have an unknown reddit account that is wordvomiting pages of info about a game with zero proof or legitimacy. I know who I'll believe... the reddit leaker of course  /s
