None of that is in the game as far as I am aware, they wouldn't actually be able to "hide" anything in the files.

 

 

Also, Rockstar be looking at us here mentioning "GTA1, GTA2..." and being like "I've never heard of those games in my entire life".

I don't get why people thought Rockstar would mention a trailer for gta 6  for the next community update most they'll say is "we are working hard on our next entry to the grand theft auto series, stay tuned for more updates soon."

 

More likely that spider vice cameos in the next gta online update than gta 6 logo/announcement sometime this year

I've been thinking about this a lot lately:

 

Usually, every game Rockstar announce is delayed by about a year or so. With the Bloomberg article detailing how 6 will be smaller in scale and content - with more content added post launch to avoid crunch, could GTA 6 potentially be the first Rockstar Game announced with a pretty much "concrete" release date? A lot of AAA developers are now shipping games on time, only announcing them when they're ready to be shown off - with the likes of Capcom and Bethesda - so could Rockstar potentially, and finally, join those other developers in getting their games out on time, first try? It could very well be the reason why there hasn't been a formal announcement yet - they'll do one closer to a more concrete release date that might not be delayed from.

Good point

I've been thinking of it too. Like giving a trailer 10-11 months before a release. This could be possible for the first time of Rockstar History (as far as I know)

tbh. I think in last years theres game delaying trend rather than shipping games on time trend.

Tbh i think a lot is also a marketing strategy. "Oh the game will come X day", says Rockstar. Community gets hyped. "Oh, turns out that we need more polisment...8 months from now!" This build desperation, people going nuts and more willing to pay the pre-order.

As always i prefer original graphics and that makes sense since in that SIGGRRAPH 2019 presentation they explained what references they used to make the graphics, they were inspired by old paintings of the era and similar regions as the game would take place in and it shows since sometimes it feels like a painting and those mods destroys the art direction

It doesn't seem like that to me. Everything points towards a game that's scaled down from its initial ideas, kind of like how R* planned to have the entire state of Liberty in IV but scaled it down to just the city for the final game.

For what it's worth, an Axios report mentioned that the game was supposed to have 3 cities and 4 protagonists at one stage, which sounds insanely ambitious to me, especially to pull off at the level of fidelity and detail people expect nowadays.

If you look at the map size, RDR2 wasn't even 2 times larger than RDR1 (only taking the new parts of the map), and that game didn't have multiple modern cities to deal with, which increases the complexity significantly.
