For the longest time, I was deceived by the sun position in the official screenshot, I kept thinking this was somewhere south east of LS, I never gave it a thought until today, it's another impossible sun position.

Looks like Vinewood Boulevard was the unloaded/unfinished part of this screenshot.

Well for that one it's just the Rockstar Editor, I used a trainer to spawn the vehicles and the default Trevor.

I wish there was a tool out there to control the sun position, it would make creating these screenshots a lot more accurate and fun, like in the official screenshot (and many other marketing assets) Rockstar likes to mess around with the position of the sun and put it where it can't possibly be in the game.

Factor in a lot of stuff whenever you look at the marketing assets, there's some color correction going on here, fake lights, motion blur... 

 

 

 

Check this video, this is the PC version and those animations are in the archives and you can load them in the game but this video looks a little better than maxed out PC, most definitely because it's heavily processed and edited for marketing purposes.

Just look how freaking awesome this second shot is, it doesn't look this good on PC Ultra.
