Crash physics and damage like BeamNG are cool and all but the moment you put those in a game where you will crash a lot, like GTA, you will very quickly tire of them, no ifs or buts.

Β

There's a balance to it and while I'm not saying V's was perfectly balanced, anything close to BeamNG's would be dogsh*t in GTA.

do you crash a lot in a gta ?? you only have to take care while driving as you would in the real life. So please, stop with unrealistic excuses

you have to consider gta online racing as well, if you played it you'd know that if cars get damaged like with one hit too easily people will complain, in general it wouldn't even be fun.

Now maybe they can have very realistic in storymode and less in the online mode but I don't know.

Realistic β‰ Good for a game

If you jump a curb IRL or on BeamNG at 30+ MPH you will wreck the wheels and suspension of your vehicle. If I'm having a high speed chase on GTA it wouldn't be very fun if I hit a tiny curb that ruined my car.

Turns out those 400 hour playthrough rumours for GTA VI are true, it's just that they expect everyone to obey the speed limits and the law while playing the game. The story is 400 hours of you doing taxi minigames.

Bro you know what I envy most in Germany? German Autobahnen. They have no mandated speed limit so you can speed up without getting worried about constables chasing you. Here in USA, the limit is usually 65/75 on freeways. I can’t drive my car as I do in GTAV. That sucks lol

It's not grand theft auto VI, it's called law abiding citizen VI.

if you die the game uninstalls itself and strauss zelnick comes to your house in real life to kill you

I wouldn’t get tired of that tbh, driving would be a challenge instead of just driving through the entire map like a maniac with zero consequences, i guess some prefer easy like GTA V and some others want that challenge, and the crashes and damage would be epic as hell. There were hundreds of compilation videos on youtube when GTA 4 came out, it was one of the most fun aspects of the game

As a German i can say it's not great to have no mandated speed trust me.

Wreckfest crash physics with a bit more durability would be that sweet spot imo

Β

When you're literally just driving about you might enjoy the challenge, when you're doing vritually everything else in a vehicle you wouldn't.

Β

Crashing in a race would be catastrophic, combat in vehicles would be nigh impossible and highly frustrating, police chases would be a gigantic pain in the arse, online would be unplayable, etc etc.

Β

GTA is simply not well suited to crash physics like BeamNG unless you actively avoid key aspects of the game and only play it in a niche way. When you take into account the whole of what GTA is then you quite simply require more durable vehicles and more forgiving handling. It's an urban based open world action game with shooting and vehicular combat, it's not a sim racer.

Β

It's why the almost elitist view some (not saying you!) have on it doesn't hold water. You're not interesting or special cause you want some crazy exaggerated crash physics, what you actually want is to play a game that's not GTA.

What gta 6 needs is some good car interior's, the one's in gta 5 are just ugly, but the one's in the Online Updates look pretty good.
