I definitely think 2025 is a sensible guess. I would imagine they would prefer 2024 but it might be needed to delay it for the sake of polishing. 

My rule is always going to be ADD 6 MONTHS AT LEAST to whatever date Rockstar tell us.

So since every prediction we've made so far turned out to be wrong, I'll use this very valuable information to predict that tomorrow, we won't get an announcement. Adding to the list of wrong predictions

Guys I have a theory. So as we know, preliminary work on RDR2 started in 2010, shortly after RDR1 came out. This went on until late-2012/early-2013 when they started to produce the game by regrouping their studios together. They than kept working on the game for the next 6 years until it eventually released in October 2018. 

 

So now, based on what Tez2 found out, let's say preliminary work for GTAVI started around 2014-2015. This went on for 3 years until RDR2 came out. Shortly after RDR2 came out, all of Rockstar Studios began development on GTAVI. Let's say it would take them 6 years again, just like RDR2. This means that GTAVI would be released in 2024. And looking back on RDR2's announcement, it was supposed to come out one year after it's annnouncement, until it got delayed twice. So let's assume that this time, Rockstar wants to avoid delays and therefore plans to announce the game only when they are absolutely sure that it will be completely finished and playable by then. 

 

Following this logic, GTAVI will be announced in Fall 2023 and release in Fall 2024.

 

So get off the hype train and wait for one more year boys!

Well, I think what happened overnight is a good reminder to please go outside, breathe some air, go for a jog, something like that, instead of making things up on an internet forum to be mad at. You're working? Well, perhaps go for a smoke if you do that, scroll through Reddit (but watch the subreddits you subscribe to!) or something.

Back on-topic: I don't think there's any way to know if this event is two weeks or not just yet until the Newswire releases, but at this point they could just announce the thing whenever and not make it obvious by making the event 2 weeks, who knows

Why not 2023 and the inevitable delay to 2024 for the sake of polishing? Or early 2024 and late 2024 respectively

Fair enough. Guess I'm gonna say to myself that VI definitely 100% ultimately and finitely won't be announced today or tomorrow or anytime until early November and my expectations are non-existent now.

 

This only can mean one thing. VI to be announced anytime soon. Maybe even today, who knows
