You gotta admire the Internets™ man, I've just looked up GTA1's release date and within the same result page I got these dates:

 

October 21, 1997
November 1997
Jun 30, 1998

 

Funny enough, on a certain page I found this line in the text:

"...released on PlayStation 1, PC and later on Game Boy Color, on October 1997."

 

And then found this in the order of release:

"MS-DOS and Windows EU October 1997, PlayStation EU December 1997, Game Boy Color 1999"

 

All in one page.

We all should know by now that R* don’t give a flying f*ck about their anniversaries, so whether or not they reveal something today won’t have anything to do with the anniversary.

That "GTA Settings" being .exe and not .ini makes it look like a malicious file

they did for the trilogy and others of their big games, it seems only gta iv they didnt care for xd

I mean, coupled with the fact that the internet had just started getting off of its feet around 1999 and the fact that seemingly there are barely any sources still available with a certain release date for GTA 1, it could have. I doubt Rockstar won't at least make a newswire post about it so if nothing else, we'll at least get confirmation as to when GTA 1 actually released lol.

October 29th seemed more likely for me, they have basically 0 reason to announce it today, the anniversary is not even today (lol). Also I don't get what the aliens have to do with VI, don't believe everything tez says.
