I meant what was actually updated? There are no pages or sites available regarding GTA6, so what exactly happens there?

It doesn't have to be GTA6 content. Literally any minor update to the frontend code can trigger that. In my opinion, nothing visual changed.

The series anniversary isn't actually on the 21st...

If one of Rockstar's vets says this then it definitely wasn't October. Looks like I'll have to try dig deep into GTA (1997) development process and see what happened and try to understand where those conflicting reports come from.

To be fair there is a page where it says the first release was in November 97
Rockstar's website doesn't even mention it, they skipped the first releases and just say when it was released to PC and consoles

what was the point of the stealth ufo to begin with ? why have it in the Halloween event . Just weird stuff they were doing 

, if we don't get anything this year then the leaks definitely delayed the announcement which was gonna happen this year . Why else would they mention the next Grand theft auto twice this year ?

Ok so I did a little digging and he is KINDA right. The console versions were released on nov 28. PC release was on oct 21 1997
