We were talking about this a bit ago, nowadays the main sources like Wikipedia and the R* Website all say different dates, but discussions around the Internet over the years and basically every other site such as MobyGames etc. all mention an October 21, 1997 release in the UK for PC. October was pretty much the considered truth until suddenly those different dates started popping up. R* says May 1998 on their website which is even more puzzling.

I think it is because it has been so long that mostly younger people who grew up with only gta v (who are probably around 16 by now?) feel like it's a very big deal? They have a point but I don't get why they have to spam it.

Iam the only one that is not that hyped for Rockstar showing a logo or tease?, for me since those damn leaks the hype is on halt, would been much more better to see that teaser with Palm Trees and realize that Vice City was the chosen City...don't get me wrong, I still want the tease or whatever Rockstar do, but the taste Will not be the same at least for me, if they show more advanced development footage that might sweet the deal a little bit but still not the same feeling...what do You guys feel???

Absolutely nothing. It's purely my own speculation, but I've never really thought they'd announce GTA VI on that date. But rather just "when it's ready". If they do it soon, it's more likely to be coincidental, imo.

I always expected a GTA VI reveal is gonna happen this month or november because rockstar always announced their game in the fall and certainly because they mentioned it earlier this year and because they didn't announce it October 2021 and i rationalized that it's because of covid and that means 2022 fall reveal, I never and I still don't expect the announcement because of anniversaries or the ufo event because that doesn't make any sense for me and R* don't care about anniversaries.

 

I remember when I always predicted RDR2 trailers timeframe(like everybody else) based on gta 5 patterns and I was optimistic about them and they usually come to fruition But now I've gone from that they might announce it in the fall(in oct 2021) to they certainly will do it in February to now doubting it due to that it might release in 2025 after seeing the leaked gameplay which in my opinion too early for announcement this year but hopefully it happens but my expectations for tomorrow is the same expectations for any day in October and November.

Do y'all think we'll be getting separate introduction trailers for Jason and Lucia in the future? I remember then the individual trailers were coming for Franklin, Michael, and Trevor, was so hyped when I saw those.

Mods i understand your frustration with the pointless replies etc.

You do have to consider that those posts are a visual representation of the communitys frustration/expectation and the closer we get to the end of Nov the harder it can be to control the communitys emotions.

 

Anyway i had a question: is the Nov 7 quarter call the important/annual one or one of the smaller ones? If i remember correctly they do every quarter but one of then covers the entirety of the year.

 

They always wanna give some air between announcement and trailer so if something happens this year, it happens before Nov.1.
