I agree, GTA VI should strive for sincerity. Today it's practically impossible to be an edgelord without coming off as a lame, outdated loser. These days, it often seems that everything and everyone is straightforwardly edgy, which is tiresome.

Ever since I've read that post where Tez said R* is making sure GTA6 doesn't slip up into 2025\2026, I believe the max release window cap is at 2024. We could have an announcement in October this year, then a trailer next year and finally the game itself in 2024. Not too far off into the future, I suppose?

Peds doing "stuff" definitely got a lot better in RDR2, it is reasonable to expect a further improvement on the next GTA.

It won't be until the second trailer that you see a glimpse of Vice.

Of course, for that to happen they'll need at least two cities in America. Otherwise, if they only show, suppose, a South American city in the reveal trailer, people will figure out either way.

they did the same with announcing/teasing red dead 2 didnt they?

we didnt really know and just speculated about new austin being in the game, but they didnt actually showed the desert etc until a later point

(or did they ever show sth abouth new austin? i cant remember, but i think they actually let the players find out about new austin when the game got released and we saw it ingame?)

I think GTA VI will expand on RDR2 NPC interaction in terms of conversation. 

 

RDR2 basically gave you the option to be negative or nice. 

 

I think GTAVI will introduce a medium level, so there will be negative, nice, and neutral conversations. 

 

so you focus on an NPC, it might give the dialogue options something like negative, nice, and neutral.

Almost as if game developers plan years and years in advance. On a related note, RDR3 (or 4 by Rockstars internal naming) is likely already in pre-production. Maybe even Red Dead Online 2, too

Well RDR2 was in pre production in early 2011, so...

These things are planned years in advance. The sensible thing to do would be to spitball ideas for RDR3 as you're wrapping up RDR2. We already know they were at least thinking of ideas for GTA VI is 2012.

 

Besides, some of the first GTA VI leaks go back to 2017, wit Tim Neff, for example. Over a year before RDR2 even released. Albeit before it was delayed from Spring 2018. It makes sense that RDR3 would be in pre-production now.

Rockstar will more likely release Agent or Bully 2 than next RDO. If there is a next Red Dead after GTA 6, it will at most have a RDR1 style MP. Which could be considered an upgrade, depending on who you ask.

If Rockstar starts working on Red Dead 3 right after VI, then 2029-'30 is a plausible release window (granted, VI comes out in 2024). They could take 8-10 years between sequels, but not 8-10 years between each project.

 

I believe this console generation could potentially last 9-10 years instead of the usual 7-8 year cycle, so the next Rockstar game after VI could very well be a cross-gen title with PS6/Xbox-whatever.

That's being wildly misinterpreted. Their stock has simply gone back to normal. Their stock was massively inflated, due to the hype for the release of Cyberpunk. Since it's released and had its issues, it's gone back to normal. But, the internet does what it does best "LMAO CDPR's stock has dropped 75% dead game, sh*t company lol fail"

It’s kinda depressing to think about having to wait that long for rockstar to actually release games. I was 16 when gta v came out. I’ll be damn near 30 by the time gta VI ever gets here. Anything after that? I’ll be 40+ and my kids will be in high school by then

I am hoping on a new IP with a Pirate setting after GTA VI , well one can always dream , its free.

Rockstar won't do new IP's. Especially given how long it takes them to release new GTA's or RDR's. They're their two main IP's, now. And yes, Red Dead Online will continue with the next RDR. It may have been 'abandoned' early. But they'll still do it for the next one.
