Op mk2 nerf happened?

I'm sorry in advance if this is already explained somewhere.

I just read news but wouldn't know, uninstalled quite some time ago.

The oppressor mk2, that flying bike with the deadliest rockets got nerfed? Like how and does the nerf make a difference?

We don't know, not until the next update at least.

The update is likely releasing on the 26th or so, so we'll only know then which nerfs happened. :)

How is your experience with opmk2 so far? xD Dueling other one now completely pointless. Had a moment with a guy trying to shoot me with it, while I was free aiming his friend on the ground. It's probably time to add and master explosive cannon.

I suspected as they changed, since this new update came out i tested Opp MK2 and other players can easily take down. For npc vehicles it's really nerfed, the missle might not hit exactly like it used to

If you are good with the bike nothing really changed. I was doing criminal damage last night, Zancudo in my tank, when one came up behind and popped off three rockets in rapid succession and blew me right the hell up.

Which isn't really a thing if you are decent at using the explosive rounds.

Oppressor Mk2 nerfs

The following parameters were enabled. They were disabled before with no values at all.

Spoiler
          <HomingRocketParams>
            <ShouldUseHomingParamsFromInfo value="true" />
            <TimeBeforeStartingHoming value="0.150000" />
            <TurnRateModifier value="2.500000" />
            <PitchYawRollClamp value="2.000000" />
            <DefaultHomingRocketBreakLockAngle value="0.200000" />
            <DefaultHomingRocketBreakLockAngleClose value="0.600000" />
            <DefaultHomingRocketBreakLockCloseDistance value="20.000000" />
          </HomingRocketParams>

Chaff countermeasure usage has been halved from 10 to 5 uses.

Chaff lock-on protection period remains the same, unable to be locked into for 6 seconds. The cooldown, however, has been increased from 8 seconds to 21 seconds.

Flares countermeasure usage has been halved from 20 to 10 uses.

Flares cooldown increased from 2.5 seconds to 9 seconds.

@Tez2 I wish Rockstar added a simple Ui displaying vehicle ammo counts, number of remaining counter measures and a timer for active Chaff remaining.

You aren't going to feel any difference in a tank, because even the worst missiles will easily hit a tank.

Actually I have been seeing far more players on their OP Mk1, Deluxos and believe it or not, Vigilantes.

They're branching out until they will eventually figure out that the META for PvP probably is the Toreador, but the Toreador itself also requires skills and basic strategy to be effective, not to mention the fact that it's land-bound most of the time.

I also have seen some folks on Scramjets, but usually they don't really accomplish much with those besides dumping their car into the nearest body of water.

Yep, seen an uptick in jets in the last few months leading up the update.

Ninety-five percent of the Lobbies I load into before Invite Only, you can hear a jet flying around before the game has even finished loading.

When they eventually add something like a customisable F-35B that can have Chaff and Flares people will be even more bitter. Imagine the MkII with explosive cannons and the agility and speed of a jet.

Arrows to Athens

Even after the nerf, this thing is such an annoying pest to deal with. Yesterday, some tryhard wannabe "temp" turd shot at me for no reason when I drove past him, so I stopped my car immediately after I heard gunshots and killed him with the AP Pistol. He then showed up a couple minutes later with his Mk2 off the radar and blew me up. I was driving at some pace in my HSW Stirling GT, too, and yet he still managed to take me out in one attempt. No missiles missed despite the nerf to its tracking. I hit his ass with the explosive sniper after I spawned back, but it didn't kill him. It didn't even knock him off his mk2. He then flew away like a coward. I got into my Sparrow and used chaff to get the upper hand. He managed to dodge all of my rockets, partly because the mk2 is so small and nimble, and partly because the Sparrow's rockets don't exactly have the best tracking. After 2 minutes of us popping chaff back and forth and exchanging rockets, he managed to take me out. Ridiculous.

I eventually decided to get my trusty Toreador out and then blew his ass out of the sky as he approached me, not knowing I was in a Toreador. So it seems like the Toreador currently seems to be the best option to take them out, being even better and more effective against mk2s after the mk2 nerf. Since the tracking on the mk2's rockets is less effective, it's more difficult to land a hit on the Toreador, especially when the driver of the Toreador uses the rocket boost on the back. In addition, the longer cool-down on the countermeasures makes it more difficult for the mk2 rider to evade the Toreador's rockets. With that being said, I think they should have completely removed the countermeasures on it. They belong on aircraft; they don't belong on this thing. Also, the speed of the rockets still seems to be the same, so taking out players on foot with it is still a walk in the park for those who are good at free aiming with it, not to mention those who have it as their "favourite bike" still have more health and faster health regeneration when on it.

All in all, this thing could use another nerf or two.

Yeah, one downside of the nerf is that became harder to kill fire with fire. Deluxo is good, but too slow to be used offensive.

The missiles are still ridiculous, they just can't turn as well. Chasing you in a straight line, they will hit.

I prefer the special carbine, extra lock on range on auto aim(sorry for free aim purists but that's the only way we can even the odds on consoles) and rate of fire, if you miss your shots on your musket and Revolver, you're toast.

Unfortunately, the best way to deal with MkII's is still a vehicle equipped with Imani Tech. Nothing makes their blood boil more than not getting that hit of dopamine from hearing the lock-on noise.

It really does feel nerfed when doing some missions, (was buying special cargo) used every missile taking down a few helicopters, couldn’t hit crap with it when they are staying tight on you.

Pff, bullets.

Yeeting a stickybomb towards them and blowing them to bits mid air, thats how its done. Stylepoints if you do it while riding a bicycle.

Most OP2 riders never figured out how the chaff works. They wait until lock-on or when missiles are deployed and then try to chaff, but it is too late then. When I am on the OP2 and I see some chancer heading my way on his, I chaff just before he gets in range, and then let them have it. The obvious confusion as they are blown to bits due to their too-late-chaff is hilarious.

You're like a week late with this comment, one mk2 can't hit another with missiles as long as driver is maneuvering.
