9604
Hello everyone! So here's a little bit of a background on this, this might help a few out there, so here goes. This is on the Complete Editon, downgraded to 1070, in case this is relevant Basically I added all EFLC vehicles into IV some time ago, simply by adding the EFLC Vehicle Addon Pack By 7urbo1ag, containing all of them. After a while I added Fastman Limit Adjuster, so that I could add more fanmade cars and their sounds. But then, all EFLC vehicles lost their sounds! So I thought ''Hey I'll just add the sound bank lines from the EFLC folder of FLA into the addedvehicles ini!'' And I did! And the game got stuck on the loading screen, basically loading indefinitely. That's great isn't it? It worked fine before. And worked fine without the added lines too. I tried 2-3 more times on fresh installs, to no avail. So I tried to add only one bank line, the Tampa's from the TBOGT folder. And it worked! So I added a second one, the Slamvan's, again from TBOGT. BOOM indefinite loading screen again. Did I add too many? Nah can't be, I had over 50 at some point with all the car mods I had on another install. Only thing I thought it could be was that a specific sound bank was causing this. I knew that TLAD also has the Slamvan, so I checked if there was a sound bank for it in the TLAD folder. And sure enough, there was one. So I added this one instead of the TBOGT's one in my ini. And it worked flawlessly. So my suspicion was confirmed. At this point I just added the rest of the lines in my ini and called it a day. Except I didn't. Because, you guessed it, never ending loading screen AGAIN. So there is more than one sound bank causing this issue?! F*CK. Do I really have to add sound banks ONE BY ONE and test the game everytime to see if it runs and loads the sounds properly? Sure did look like it. And so I did. So if you read all that, congratulations! Because I have the solution, until it gets updated, maybe. At some point, if the author of FLA, Fastman92, sees this. In the meantime, it's pretty simple; -The Slamvan, Hexer, Bati Custom (bati2), Hakuchou and Double T (double) exist on both episodes, but will only work properly with TLAD's sound bank lines. Any of these with the TBOGT ones made my game loading without an end on the horizon. -The Tampa should use its TBOGT's sound bank, same issue but only with TLAD's lines this time. Apart from the Tampa, every single sound banks from the TLAD folder work fine. -The F620 is a lost cause. Only exist in TBOGT, and it causes the issue. I tried to only add THIS one in an empty addedVehicleAudioSettings ini, and it did the same problem. I thought maybe the ''field1'' line is the culprit, and uses a number already used by another vehicle, but this doesn't seem to be the case, as Notepad++ couldn't find ''48613'' anywhere else but in the TBOGT ini, under ''[f620]''. This is on my end, on my computer. Maybe not everybody has this issue, or maybe my solution will not work for some. I guess I'll see soon enough if I'm the only one or not. Couldn't find anything about it, so I posted. If anybody has a solution, especially for the F620 (as the other ones it's fairly easy to deal with), please let us know here! Thanks, and I hope this'll help some folks out there. Feel free to move this post in another section if needed. Have a nice day! Fleenz
from my understanding on using the limit adjuster's added vehicles sound file, the root of the issue is certainly because of the sound banks. R engineered completely new engine sounds for most of those vehicles, so by example, if you were to implement the engine sound lines from the F620 into base IV in the limit adjuster's file, the base game will not register it and will rightfully consider it nonexistent. your main issue seems to be figuring out how to add the DLC packs' sound files into other directories; from the source, to the source Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/983922-fla-defective-eflc-sound-bank-lines-on-iv-at-least-on-my-end-and-a-solution/?do=findComment&comment=1071979832 Share on other sites
