TheGodDamnMasterReturns
Intel Core i9-9900k @ 5.1GHz EVGA Geforce RTX 3080 Ti FTW 32GB DDR4 Samsung 970 Pro M.2 1TB SSD LG 34" 3440x1440 144Hz monitor I started experiencing some horrific lagging and stuttering in both Online and story mode recently. All system drivers are up to date, including GPU. Changing the maximum framerate to 144 in Nvidia Control panel yielded no fruit. Disabling Gsync did nothing either. I tried toggling regular vsync in the in-game settings as well to no avail. Windowed mode, resolution, and in game graphics options all changed nothing. I have tried several other games to test if this was a hardware/system issue and all of my other titles run just fine, including Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077, both maxed out. The most recent hardware changes are swapping out a 2070 for the 3080Ti (as well as using a riser for it), and installing a new PSU and a liquid CPU cooler. Any thoughts on what's causing this? Neither of these solutions have worked though. I've read that many people with the 3000 series cards have been experiencing this issue but not many have been able to solve it. Thank you for the suggestion though. Edited July 14 by TheGodDamnMasterReturns

I have no problems with it and I've got RTX 3080 TheGodDamnMasterReturns
Solution TheGodDamnMasterReturns Posted July 21 Author Solution Share Posted July 21 Hey I just wanted to update you all on what I did to solve this issue. It might seem overkill, but a completely fresh clean install of Windows resolved the issue entirely. It was an operating system issue. It may be tedious to have to back up all of your files and folders and then put them back, but this fix helped my performance in all my other games too. Mexicola9302
It would have probably been easier to just use DDU like most ppl dp, instead of wiping the system. After i uninstalled my driver with DDU, and installed the latest driver, and then tried to play the game, i also had horrible stuttering, then i deleted the temp and cache data of the game, and reinstalled DirectX and VCRed, that can be found in the "Redistributables" folder in the game folder. After i done that it ran buttersmooth again. Rotorhead359
