Problem with Yacht

About a month ago R* offered a discount on yachts and I bought one, and completed all 6 missions. I didn't receive 1 million cashback and contacted R* support.

But in response, they told me that they don't have any record about I bought a yacht. Ok, I have enough money in my bank account and this million is not so important for me. But then I noticed that the yacht icon in my profile is dark (It's like I really don't have any yacht.) I took profile screenshots, a few screens that show that this is my yacht and sent them to support.

 

Of course, I received useless recommendations to clear the cache, reboot the router, etc... and a day later a second letter asking me to explain when and how I got this yacht. 🥴 Now they ask if I have a video or screenshots of the purchase process. Of course I don't have! And I don't like this conversation. 😳


So I would like to ask you all: 

Did you all get 1 mln cashback right away?

Do you all have a white yacht icon?

Has anyone else had similar problems? How did you solve them? Have you been asked suspicious questions too?

Perhaps you can post that screenshot of "dark" yacht? That's a new one. Maybe it's blue. And are you on PC or consoles?

I'm on PC.

I go to the Pause Menu - Network - Players - My character, I see this:

Thus, I have planes, helicopters, cars, but no yacht!

That's not the yacht icon. That is the icon for owning a sailable/drivable boat.

Really?! Damn... I didn't even think about that. 😄 Thanks, you calmed me a bit.

 

But it still doesn't explain what's going on with my account.

I'm on PC and I didnt get Yacht rebate for weeks, so I did contact Support (as few people here recommended from their experience with this) and I got money next day - and it was a Yacht for my 2nd character, I already have one on my main ch.

This is a part of support answer regarding yacht "I have reviewed your request and Social Club account and have been able to verify your claim, which is why I have provided you with GTA$1,000,000 for the missing rebate"

If you are legit player you had some 'de-sync' in your save/profile files, because server files dont match. It can happen (I had that few times) and you do need to erase your profile folder on your side (verification of files wont help with this) and next time you will download your clean accurate profile data from RS side (one that only matter, your local version is irrelevant).

In the week of Independence Day, I completed 4 off-road races. Didn't get a bonus - RS has no records.

On Thursday, I completed all the casino missions and work from Miss Baker. No bonus - RS doesn't see any entries.

So I think something is wrong?

Now the support service has seen the yacht and it has a fair question: “How did you get it?”. I don't want to lose the character because of their mistake. He is three years old and I have put a lot of time and effort into him.

It's comforting that I'm not the only one. You're lucky, I'm not. Maybe I should have contacted support right away.

Here is what they answered me:

"We understand that you are concerned about the retro bonus for purchasing Yacht. We have reviewed your account and we cannot find any record of the yacht purchase. Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm the claim."

Got something similar from support. I cleared the cache but that didn't change anything. I will try to delete my profile tonight. Thank you.

That's just how it works. They've been failing to see these completed activities for years. Standard procedure if you want bonus money or some clothing is to record how you do those tasks and upload to youtube around the time bonuses are active. This is the only way to make sure you get your stuff. You could try text chat/asking for higher tier support and be a bit more aggressive with them. But tbh why waste time.

I've been playing for almost three years and have never faced such problems before. (Or didn't pay attention?)

No, thanks. I'm not so serious about the game. 😄 

 

I don't know if deleting/clearing my account helped, or guys from support tweaked something, but after launching the game, I finally saw notifications that all casino mission bonuses were paid to me. 👍 I hope everything will be in order.
