Bawwww
- No mention of E&E for PC

- No mention of anti-cheat update
- F to pay respects for RDO

But hey

- Play as IAA? even if just during certain missions, does that mean we're finally getting a step closer to the cop dlc? Or are they just gonna replace the jobs that people use to 'steal' cop etc outfits? (with new ones that deny the 'stealing' i mean)
- Another round of "lets make the work of griefers slightly harder" is always good i guess, wish they would focus on that other group of annoying people though.

hypothesis

this will be the clear-out of unused and unlaunched content, alongside qol stuff, representing the final LG update

Sell in invite only is interesting because it won’t boost R*s direct earnings (possibly reduce them a bit if you accept the logic that easier to earn in game cash = fewer shark cards sales), but it will keep their customer base happy. It’s the equivalent of a casino taking the zero off the roulette wheel.

This strategy would make sense if GTA VI is not that far away (eg next year or two rather than three of four).

With the move of more hands to get GTA 6 done, do you guys and galls think that the change the online system to servers?

Well if C*ockstar announced GTA6 later this year they will put fall 2023 as a release date but that date could be fake date the real date will be Fall 2024 like they did with RDR2 & GTAV

I have a feeling this could be the case. R* knows the servers will descend into anarchy like the 360 ones did so are throwing people a bone.

Good analogy.

Rockstar know that most experienced players will never buy shark cards, so why not keep us happy in the lead up to their next game? They want us on board, right?

They also have GTA+ generating revenue in the background, which is effectively a monthly shark card with extra perks. People that will never buy shark cards do and will buy GTA+ to facilitate earnings and to get specific items.

They don't care how much or how easily we make money any more because they have other forms or income.

By reading official news i've noticed that sell missions can be do on invite session. It means that you can sell all your business from CEO up to MC or what?:wtf: If it true then it's just would be cool:D

There certainly could be some limitations, like maybe you're allowed to do 1 sell mission per day unless you got GTA+, or something like that.

Rockstar over the last few years taught me to keep my expectations to a minimum.

I'm honestly very excited about the GTAO buffs, and sell missions on Online. I just wonder about sourcing missions.

Same, the selling in invite only is definitely one of the best improvements R* could make in terms of gameplay. And yes i also wonder about sourcing mission tho, will those be able to do in invite only? 🤔

R* already put this in the game years ago for both games,  go check out their old live streams showcasing the ceo/Mc businesses, after getting utterly destroyed in “public” lobbies they move to a invite only lobby.  This option is simply turned off for us.  The question is what limitations will they put on it if they actually open sales up in those lobbies?   Players already shun most of that work due to the bullsh*t delivery methods “trash trucks, post-op vans, among others” even when it’s x2$$.  We already have the ability for solo pub lobbies so why are they doing this now?

There has to be something to invite-only sales. That’s waaay to kind of R*

Lol lots of pessimists and cynics in here. I don't believe they'll add anything to the sale missions to make them harder in invite only lobbies. After all, that would just be more work for them to do. And what would be the point of putting all this effort to make these missions harder when the Cayo Perico Heist and other missions they've added in recent years that can be done in invite lobbies take way less time, are very easy and pay like twice as much.

Because R* said they will expand the criminal careers (think of RDO role expansion) safe bet they will introduce new mechanics for invite only sells

I suppose that this is the end for online and with added GTA+ they will earn money anyway....

Oh okay. I guess I missed that part. Either way I doubt it'll be anything that makes the missions super difficult that would make people prefer going back to griefer infested lobbies.

I highly doubt they will shut down online for ps4/x1 anytime soon.  the question is why make sales available in invite lobbies now and what changes will be made. Players asked for this for years and only resorted to solo public lobbies to play legit without the toxic mentality of public lobbies, with other $$ making options that are more popular the option to sell ceo/Mc businesses seems odd even in invite only lobbies.

I didn´t say they shut down the servers. GTA 6 is a year or two away and they did state they will earn less from GTAO.

Normally I'd feel this way but the worst thing they could do is either nerf payouts in those sessions or put another paywall to allow you to do so. Either way, gta5 online is heading towards irrelevance and they're just trying to keep players loyal until gta6 comes out, then the cycle will start again.

This summer/fiscal quarter*. Not in general. Potentially because of easier ways to make money (less shark cards), and a DLC that won't have as much content, as, say, The Contract.

They don't care how much or how easily we make money any more because they have other forms or income.

Not to mention how much Rockstar makes from selling new copies of GTA V - they'd be rolling in money just from that, even if Shark Cards never happened. After all, the game was making pure profit just weeks after it launched, and before GTAO even went live.

As for bumping up payouts and allowing easier Freemode sales, I think it's partly to make the game a bit more generous ahead of them possibly winding things down after this year's updates (if GTA VI is supposedly coming out in 2024, then I reckon they're going to gradually divert more and more current GTAO resources towards it and 'GTAO 2' throughout 2023).

But on top of that, it's also possibly an indicator that GTA+ has worked out well (for them, at least) as a monetisation strategy - and you can kinda see why. With Shark Cards, any bonus money events or payout buffs just undermine them, because you're less likely to want to buy one if it's easier to make money just by playing. But with GTA+ exclusive bonuses, if Rockstar bumps up payouts in general, and then that game mode gets a double-money GTA+ event, then that's even better money, and all the more reason to sub to GTA+ that month. And it's worthwhile if you're a new player trying to get ahead faster, or a veteran who's addicted to having as many millions as possible, whereas the value of Shark Cards hasn't gone up over the years, and so they're also less useful over time, the richer you get.

Plus, even if they overdid it and made payouts too generous, it goes back to the first point: the game's maybe just a couple of years from being usurped by its successor, so at this late stage, it's not the end of the world. Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see more tweaking and experimentation in general over the next year or so, with Rockstar using current GTAO as a massive live playtest to fine-tune things that they can then apply to 'GTAO 2'.

Not to mention it's the only way to insta-summon a flying vehicle if the CEO limit is reached(which is 85% of the time it seems... sure would be nice if they upped that number!)

I use it while getting Event Cargo so I at least stand a chance at getting it. There's no way I'm driving to Paleto Bay and back just to find out it's something I own, the MK II can half your trip(And I shorten it further by stealing a Lazer on my way back from Clucking Bell)

I can summon my sparrow from my sub anytime I need it and it spawns right next to me. The sparrow is faster than the mk ii oppressor. I use the sparrow or hydra for the Auto shop export list. I send it back to storage when I get in the export car so it's ready to call back out after the car is delivered.  On a good day I can export all 10 cars in a little over an hour depending on how quickly I find them.

I do wonder what the payout increases will be, personally I feel that Bikers needs another increase, Bunker needs an increase and by extension the max amount that the Nightclub can make needs an increase as well.

I think they gonna reduce the amount of cash you're getting for selling in invite-only or maybe a bonus if you sell in public lobby

You get a bonus already, I think it's 1% for each person in the Lobby that's not in your Organisation/Biker gang. That's why you see a lot of Youtubers selling in packed Lobbies and getting more than you think they will.

That sounds pretty good, but I will wait the release to see whats effective. Broomstick nerf, great, better payout for old heists and what else. I still want HSW Hakuchou Drag when I'm back playing this game and until I'm not returning, waiting for the DLC and rebalance to fire GTAO lol😃
