I've edited the original post and changed that line to:

"Afaict, it's the only (decent/effective) weaponized vehicle you can still use for the Casino missions."

 

A fully modded Half-Track with the quad cannon is quite awesome.

Driver can still use micro-smg etc. with medium armor-plating.

 

Makes the Cashing Out mission pretty easy.

 

Park it in that grassy area and the gunner just shoots down everything.

Yes, that would be very effective from a distance...

 

How good is it at handling the individual gang members though?

(e.g. the ones who start running up the hill towards you and the ones in cover back at the ranch)

 

Half-Track can get close up and take out everyone and everything with ease.

 

I've just been playing it with 2 players in the half-track,

but I guess 4 players - 1 in a lazer, 1 in toreador, 2 in Half-Track would soon polish off the mission

After playing a few of the casino missions they just aren't as fun as they used to be, there were missions you were on foot and there were missions where you could use aircraft, and it was all nice.

For more conventional co-op players, trying Casino Story 'Cashing out' mission if you fail doing sneaky, and you are using Kuruma as safe backup car - I personally discovered more or less safe spot from nasty helicopters with rockets... and to easy kill gazillion of guards running around. Place is behind a long building/stable on the side of ranch towards the city - there is still possibility of getting one or two rocket Buzzard from that side, but you just fast kill pilots... most of helis will camp above middle of ranch and if you are careful you just kill pilots over that building roof.

 

Kuruma is also very useful in another Casino Story missions, one with big shootout in vineyard Villa - but you also have to kill rocket Buzzard pilots as soon as you can (this trick was shown to me long time ago, but there is no extra bonus for it, so it's not important ).

I dont know are diamonds as loot is 'fixed' to get them first time you are doing scope, during this event period, but I just tried and there they are... and I wanted Art so I can try out 'aggressive'!

I guess now I have to do Big Con and see how much I can take out

No apparently it's only 18% chance to get them. Which is very low, not worth the hassle for me even with disconnect trick.

Then I had dumb luck  

I never liked 'collecting' type of casino loot - got stuck on that F cart more then once, and all that clicking and remembering loot pickup routs  Art was always a gentleman's sport  

Phone cancel trick was usually good enough to get art in first of second try.

Scoped cash and flipped it to diamonds for 25k. The heist finale was rough though, as always. For we could be stealing a wheel of cheddar cheese out of that vault but unless those randoms love cheese the heist miiight suck. 1.3 M for those two hours? I'd be happy if the finale wasnt such a drag due to random incompetence.

I've done the phone cancel thing twice now, and both times it's come back with the same thing as before. Gold/Gold, Cash/Cash.

Don't know where to put this, but I guess this is most appropriate place - I'm confused is this a totally undocumented 'bonus event' for this week, or do I have some games ghosts 

Cant find any info about it on Newswire or on Tez twitter, and I dont remember anyone talked about this - we all know about all them Agency Payphone Hit bonuses they added (added on same day as this agency story bonus, as it is also from 14th)...

If this is for real, it could be connected with new CircoLoco record that was out on 15th, but somebody in marketing forget to make bonus known to 'public' 

 

I did whole Agency Dre Contract story on 17th to get my 'Back-up' award (thats 100k), got that money right after I finished, and one of the later days login I got this 250k for sure, as I had that 'money bonus' black info screen where you need to press Enter to continue! ...and I'm getting this loading screen all the time - sooooo, anywho... maybe someone wants to check it out and maybe gets some money. If it is known to everyone but me, then sorry for disturbance and my ignorance

It's a good thing they extended this another week, because we didn't finish the final penthouse mission until tonight. Mainly due to failing Bad Beat 30 or 40 times.

Hopefully we'll get the $200K bonus soon. Only took 2 tries to do Cashing Out, once we said "Screw the stealth" and just rolled up in my fully pimped out Insurgent and started blasting the hell out of everything.

The Paragon R (armored) is really nice, seems to be much sportier than the Karuma (armored). I celebrated by doing one of Ms. Baker's casino work missions on the phone, so we should get a bonus for that too.
